PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL REGULAR: MEETING RESCHEDULED to May 7, 2024 at 6:00PM The regular meeting for May 14, 2024 was rescheduled to May 7, 2024 because of cadet graduation falling on May 14th and the mayor and all members of council wanted to attend to support our graduating officers. The work: session began promptly ate 6:00pm. Mr. Earl Cunningham said that the Shawnee Cemetery Preservation Association is going to holda Verterans Memorial Service at the Shawnee Cemetery on Memorial Day, May 29that1 12:00PM "Behold al New' Thing", 25 El Main Street, Plymouth would like permission tol have a mural painted on1 the wall at Beade Street Park. The mural willl be done byl local artists and will take approximately three days. They would also like to have aj jobj jonny put there for those days. As ofyet, theyl have (noon). All are welcome to attend and show your support. not mentioned the theme of the mural. All council members present were in agreement and: support this great idea. Mr. Thomas Hogan has nothing to report at this time. Mr. Adam Morehart reported that he has filed for an extension: for the Coal Creek Grant. Considering the extent ofv work tol be done on this project, we will need more time. He doesn'tseea problem with the extension. They: are currently int the design phase (April-July), then the needed permitting Ouly-September), bidding willl be October-Noyember, construction contractawarded December, with construction starting January 2025 and hopefully finishing upl by September 2025. Ms. Alexis Eroh said that she has been working with Michelle Sparich, Luzerne County to get the description oft the grant purpose changed. The grant was written and approved to draw upi plans for Main Street, but we: already have had the plans drawn up by our engineers, SO we would like to have purpose changed to use the grant funds to move forward with ani item on the plans. These change orders will come in quickly, sO as not to hold thej project up, they willl be 1 given verbal approval once reviewed and be formally voted on at the next council meeting.
