PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING-june 11,2024 at 6:00PM WORK SESSION: Mr. Hogan - has been working with PennDot on a grant to look at our: zoning codes and having them updated. We were: approved to get a consultant to work with us and offer recommendations. We: should have thosel backl by) July 4th and he will: share with the planning commission and may ask for publici input. When we do go to update then we will definitely ask for public comments. Our goal Mr. Morehart - On May 28th Mr. Cunningham and Mr. Morehart attended: al Luzerne County Council meeting. We were requested to come in case there were questions about our request tol have an extension of ARCA: funds fort the Coal St. Project. There were no questions and the extension was granted until 2025. Unless therei is al majori issue, we: should have the project completed by then. Onj June 18thl he will attend a webinar with FEMA about flood mitigation. There willl be: an additional 300 million dollars available fori it.. As more details become available, he will present Ms. Eroh - There is current vacancy on the planning agency. Plymouth residents who have an interest in thej position, may apply and submit al letter ofinterest to the Borough building until) July The Borough received an LSA grant for $150,000.00 for ai much-needed new roof on thel library. Also received was! $100,000.00 for as streetscape plan, engineering service only. Mr. Dixon - As you may know there is construction on Main St as a part oft thel Main St. Project. He urged everyone to account for any delays when travelling Main St. The state is going tol be doing some restoration to update Brown Creek, 4 million dollars has been allotted. Brown Creeki is located on Washington Ave. He went to explain that Brown Creek is an impounding dam and explained what an impounding creek was. Council did Ms. Eroh said she reached out to WVW and got permission to use the Huber Field during not see a problem, but would discuss it. Kielbasa Fest. Maybe they could check into using that field.
