Consideration of Appointment to Boards and Committees  At the December 4" meeting, the Appointments Committee recommended the following appointments, and the Board accepted the nominations. A copy of their applications has been provided to Board members, and the Board can give final approval to the appointments or can nominate other individuals to fill the vacancies.  Joint Community Advisory Committee - Appoint Melvin Reid. Planning Board/Board of Adjustments - Appoint Scott Temple.  7.  Consent Agenda:  A. Approval of Minutes of December 4, 2023 Commissioner Meeting B. Adoption of Resolution Authorizing Upset Bid Process  The County has received an offer of $2,000 submitted by the American Legion Post 84 Seth E. Perry for property located on Knobbs Creek Drive (P143-63). The American Legion has paid the required 5% deposit. The Finance Committee has recommended approval of the offer and adoption of the attached resolution to begin Attached is a resolution accepting $150,000 in ARP funds to perform an Asset Inventory and Assessment study of the water/wastewater. system and giving assurance to the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality that any conditions or assurances contained in the award offer will be adhered to.  the update bid process.  C. Adoption of Resolution Accepting American Rescue Plan Funding  1    D. Adoption of Proclamation Proclaiming January 15, 2024 as A Dayt to Recognize and Chairman Jordan presented the attached proclamation at the Martin Luther King  Remember Dr. Martin Luther King,Jr. Breakfast on January 15, 2024.  8. New Business:  A. Approval of Strawberry/ Acres, Phase 3 Final Plat  Staff recommends conditional approval of the Final Plat for Strawberry Acres, Phase 3. The development consists of 30 residential lots ranging in size from 43,000 to 47,500 square feet and is located off of Main Street Extended in Providence Township.
