Monthly Minutes of the Lancaster County Salary Board March 11, 2024  The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Joshua Parsons at 1:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Conference Room 701, 7th Floor, at the Lancaster County Offices, 150  N. Queen Street.  Members Present: Commissioner Joshua Parsons, Commissioner Ray D'Agostino, Commissioner Alice Yoder, Controller Lisa Colon.  Others Present: Jacquelyn Pfursich, Larry George, Christina Pedigree, Judith Erb, Crystal Natan, Heather. Adams, Arla Brown, Tim Burke, Christopher Tallarico, Note: there were others present who did not sign in and whose identity is  Kevin Edwards, John Tierney, and Meriah Zink.  unknown.  Commissioner D' Agostino moved to approve the minutes of the meeting on February 5, Judith Erb, BHDS, requested approval to hire applicant at an annual salary of $53,781 which is above the start rate for a Caseworker position (503863), Grade I, effective upon approval with anticipated hire date of March 25, 2024. (Min $43,017 Mid $53,781 Max $64,525.50). Commissioner D' Agostino moved to approve. Commissioner Yoder  2024. Commissioner Yoder seconded. The motion carried unanimously.  seconded. Request to create, post, and fill one Program Planner position, Grade L, and simultaneously eliminate one Caseworker position. (Grade L Min $53,153.20 Mid $64,414.40 Max $79,684.80). Commissioner Yoder moved to approve. Commissioner D' Agostino seconded. The motion carried unanimously. b. Request approval to post and fill one part-time Caseworker position (504759), PSS Grade 73, vacant more than a year, effective April 1, 2024.    Salary Board Minutes March 11,2024 Page 2  (Starting rate $45,884.80). Commissioner Yoder moved to approve. Commissioner  D'Agostino seconded. The motion carried unanimously.  Heather Adams, District Attorney, requested approval to hire applicant at an annual salary of $69,451 which is above the start rate for an Assistant District Attorney position (504329), Court Related Professionals Grade 51, effective upon start date. (The minimum/maximum for this position is $68,796/5107,300, District Attorney Adams moved to approve. Commissioner Yoder seconded. The motion carried unanimously. Arla Brown, Director of Administration, and Tim Burke, Deputy Director of Human Resources, requested approval to hire applicant at an annual salary of $68,000 which is above the start rate for a Human Resources Manager - Prison position (504510), Grade N, effective March 11, 2024. (Min $58,552 Mid $73,195.20 Max $87,838.40). Commissioner D' Agostino moved to approve. Commissioner Yoder seconded. The Larry George, Chief Clerk, requested approval of a temporary 10% increase for employee (13487) to assume the role of Acting Director of Property Assessment, effective February 9, 2024, until such time that the Director of Property Assessment position is filled. Commissioner Yoder moved to approve. Commissioner D' Agostino  motion carried unanimously.  seconded. The motion carried unanimously.  Christopher Tallarico, Public Defender, requested approval to hire applicant at an annual salary of $71,534, which is above the start rate for an Assistant Public Defender I position (500445), Court Related Professionals Grade 51, effective April 22, 2024. (The minimum/maximum for this position is $68,796/5107,300). Public Defender Tallarico moved to approve. Commissioner Yoder seconded. The motion carried unanimously. Jacquelyn Pfursich, County Solicitor, requested approval to hire applicant (88174) at an annual salary of $40,000 which is above the start rate for an Office Support III position (504716), Grade F, effective March 12, 2024. (Min $37,167 Mid $46,468.50 Max $55,750.50). Commissioner D'Agostino moved to approve. Controller Lisa Colôn  seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
