APPROVALOFAGENDA Council Member Adams made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Council Member Shiver. The vote was unanimous. CITZINSCOMMENTS There were no citizen comments. APPROVALOF MINUTES Council Member. Adams made a motion to approve the Council Meeting Minutes for May 16, 2024, and Work Session minutes for. INANCIALREPORT A review of the financial report. FY25 BUDGET City Manager presented the FY25 budget and reviewed it. He also presented the FY25 Budget Resolution. Council Member Shiver made a motion to approve the FY25 budget as presented, dispensing ofthe second reading, seconded by Council Member Troutman. The vote was unanimous. SPECIALI ELECTION Due to a recent vacancy on the school board, a special election will have tol bel held November 5, 2024, to fill the position. The vaƧancy isi in] District 2. City Manager Drake presented a special election ordinance Council Member' Troutman made a motion to adopt the special election ordinance, dispensing ofthe second reading, seconded by Council member Shiver. The vote was unanimous. establishing the parameters oft the election. DDA/PDAI BOARD APPOINTEE DDA/PDA Director Cameron Harris has nominated Mr. Cullen Edwards, a citizen and business owner, to fill the 7t position on the Downtown Development Authority/Pelham Development Authority boards. Mr. Edwards meets the requirements to serve on the board as outlined in the current DDA/PDA charters. Council Member. Adams made a motion to approve the nomination ofCullen Edwards to serve on the DDA/PDA boards, seconded by Council member. Robinson. The vote was unanimous. EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM CONTRACT City Manager Drake presented an Employee Assistance Program contract. The contract willl be with the Employee Assistance Programs division of. John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital. The purpose of the Employee Assistance Program willl bet to enhance the well-being of city employees as well as improve overall organizational performance. Thej program aims to promote physical and mental fitness, provide a mechanism for resolution, and enhance health and performance. The contract will begin. July 1,2 2024 and cost $1080.00: for the first year. Page/2 Council Member Shiver made a motion to enter a contract with John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital for the Employee Assistance Program, seconded by Council Member Adams. The vote was unanimous. PARKING LOT CLOSURE-HAUNTED HOUSE FUNDRAISER The Pelham Asylum Haunted House and Pelham DDA are requesting the public parking lot located on Mathewson Ave across from Chuy's Grill & Bar be closed for a fundraising event, There will be no alcohol served att this event. The event, which willl be a corn hole tournament, will take place July 20, Council Member Adams made: a motion to approve the public parking lot closure, seconded by 2024, from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Council Member Shiver.
