Staff Updates: Both Haley and Parham gave ai report on1 the park stating that all was going well. The new playground equipment has been installed but is not available for use yet because the mulch has not been delivered. Mr. Parham stated Ms. Bishop and Ms. Hurt suggested activities such as summer tutoring sessions, self-help sessions with both youth and our senior citizens, and how to do electrical wiring. Old Business: None New Business: Members oft the advisory board introduced themselves, and Commissioner Brown thanked all for agreeing to serve on the committee. He stated that regarding actions by this board, Chairperson Reid would only vote in case ofai tie by the voting members. Commissioner Brown left the meeting after a Chairperson Reid went over the goals oft the board and the mission statement as presented to her by the briefupdate on where the park is now. county manager. They informed us that a class at PCHS will be donating flowers and pots to bej placed on the grounds oft the park this week and that Blue Stem (ina previous meeting with the county manager and Councilwoman Reid) offered to donate to improvements on the basketball court when iti is done. Chair Reid asked him if he would look to see if this could be done earlier before school is out. There was discussion among board members, and I was asked to see ifthe Board of Commissioners would change opening and closing times to accommodate early morning (6:00.
