HEARD COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS CALLED MEETING  August 29, 2024-7 7:00P.M.  The Heard County Board of Commissioners held a Called Meeting on August 29, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Commission Chamber of the Heard County Administration Building. In attendançe at the meeting were Chairman Lee Boone, District 2 Commissioner James Perry, District 3 Commissioner Iris Harris, District 4 Commissioner Larry Hammond, and Finance Director Felicia Adams. District 1Commissioner Larry Hooks and District 5 Commissioner David Walls were unable to attend. Agenda Item #2- Welcome, Invocation, and Pledge to the American Flag  Chairman Lee Boone called the meeting to order, welcomed everyone present, and gave the  invocation.  Agenda Item #3-4 Approval Of Minutes There are no minutes to approve. Agenda Item #4 - Amend Agenda  Commissioner Harris requested to amend the agenda to add item "b" under New Business to Approve al Moratorium On Subdivisions. On a motion (Harris) and a second (Hammond), the Board unanimously voted to amend the agenda to add item "b" Approve al Moratorium On Subdivisions  under New Business.  Agenda Item #5-New: Business a. Set Millage Rate for 2024-2025  The Chairman read the resolution into the record. On ai motion (Perry) and a second (Harris), the Board voted unanimously to adopt the rollback millage rate as calculated on August 29,  2024, at 5.796 mills countywide.    b. Approve a Moratorium On Subdivisions  Onamotion (Harris) and a second (Hammond), the Board voted unanimously to declare a moratorium on subdivisions beginning August 29, 2024, and expiring in six (6) months on  February 28, 2025. Item # 6-1 Public Comments There were no public comments. Item #7- Adjourn  There being no further business, on a motion (Harris) and second (Perry), the Board voted  unanimously to adjourn the meeting.
