He does admit he: made a mistake with his cup and purchased his mobile home before he acquired his permit. Hei is doing this all: for his in-laws, andj just wants to be able to have a place for his family to live on his property. Chairman Coffey askedi if! he wenti tol Planning & Zoning for approval or denial, he said no they haven't. Chairman Coffey stated that it must go through Planning & Zoning first before it comes to the Board of Commission for final approval. Commissioner Hoyte said Planning & Zoning told Mr. Carlos to come back this month, however they aren't going tol have ai meeting, they are cancelling, which is an inconvenience, so hei is suggesting that thel Board of Commission allow. him a Public Hearing at the next: meeting or Work Session. Chairman Coffey stated that hei is all about helping the citizen, however they must proceed with caution because ift they start doing this for one, they must do it forall. Commissioner Frost suggests that they reach out to the Chair of] Planning & Zoning to: see ift there is already al letter of recommendation for Mr. Carlos. Commissioner Biddle stated that therel have been other CUPsin the county that haven't gone through, even his own, and his was going tol be all new: also, but we are willing to help any way we can. County Manager Weaver thanked Mr. Carlos for coming in person and speaking on the matter SO we can tweak and adjust the issue and be able to address his concerns, instead of complaining or going on Facebook. Commissioner Hoyte said Planning & Zoning had al lot ofc confusion at their last meeting. The entire COUNTYMANAGER OFFICEUPDATES: County Manager Weaver gave updates for Ms. Hedgecoke; onei included the upcoming Spring festival & car show. The upcoming drive thru rabies clinic willl be ona Tuesday June 11th.The Planning & Zoning meeting willl bei rescheduled for May 23rd. He also gave Public Works Director Lou Becks, one was for Patterson Rd, iti is currently being worked on and: repaired. Hopefully at the streaming on our Facebook page. Askew gave updates for the Recreation dept., one was, Splashpad repair should be finished before time of opening. Teri Hancock, gave updates on the water dept., one was that they are still having issues with the hoppers on Well: 1 &3. Thel bids on the drying beds will begin once they get some dry time. The guys willl have to clean out the dry beds before the work can start. Appointment (Thomas Weaver) - County Manager Weaver will: replace Mr. Rineron Approval of Budget Calendar - Dates for all thel budget public hearings, called meetings and accepting of Reschedule ofMay Work Session for May 28th. - We willl be closed on May 27th for Memorial Day, sO RFP for Solid Waste Services = Our contract with GFL is upi in August, sO we need to: start getting Barge Preliminary Engineering Report = Report that gives up to date options andi ist thel backbone, possibly find a grant that can cover this. Thisi is where we are at right now, it is the for the sewer expansion. Commissioner Hoyte gave an opioid update wel had members already appointed to our region, they will be deciding what tos spend the opioid settlement money on. He also wanted to state something from earlier, and put it on the record with Commissioner Biddle and his Conditional Use permit, that was a choice that you decided toi take back, you didn'twant to proceed with that process. His concern was that Commissioner Biddle was not the owner oft the property, and he wanted an explanation, and how did planning & zoning approve that without any conditions. Commissioner Biddle stated the signature oft the property owner was on the permit, the property owner gave him permission to apply for the permit, he stated why buy a piece of land, that you cannot use, sol he wanted to: see ift the permit would go through before he purchased the property, but the owner of the property did sign for him to apply for that permit. Commissioner Hoyte stated that was Department Head Updates: spreadsheet. agenda: will iti is an in depth process and will have something hopefully by the next meeting. the agenda for voting item. the Board ofHealth. To be added as a voting item. the budget, tol be added as a voting item. this will be' Tuesday the: following day, tol be added as a voting item. something out tol bid, noi need to be on the agenda. his only concern, was the ownership of the property. Commissioner Frost will not be at the May 7th meeting, he will be out oft town. Chairman Coffey stated we do have aj preliminary approval for the wash rack IGSA. There are: several others coming up, ifv we are. all on board it willl be a great opportunity. Theyjust! had questions for us, our level of commitment, service and outreach with FT. Moore, are we: still committed to pursuing future IGSA's, Chairman Coffey didn'ty want to speak for the Board, he just wanted to get this out there for the rest oft the Commission. Chairman Coffey also informed the Commission on ABM and itl hasl been closed out we: need to decide on a date for the public Hearing date for Mr. Carlos Negron, The Commission decided on May 14th at 6 4.22.24 Work Session 2 pm. Commissioner Hoyte asked to put his Conditional Use Permit and the other Conditional Use Permit on the public hearing as well.
