Harnett County Board of Health Minutes of Special Meeting April 4, 2024  The Harnett County Board of Health met in special session on Thursday, April 4, 2024 in the Health Department Board Room, Harnett County Governmental Complex, 307 Members present: Dr. Laura Smith, OD, Chairwoman, Commissioner Barbara McKoy, Dr. Amanda Langdon, DVM, Dr. Kim Fowler, PhD, Dr. Brandon Washington, DDS, Ms. Amy Allen, Ms. Staci Hogan, RPH, Ms. Linda Sturdivant, and Debra Harris- Other present: Christopher Appel, Mary Jane Sauls, Oliver Tolksdorf, Melissa  W. Cornelius Harnett Blvd., Lillington, North Carolina.  Hawkins, Interim Health Director.  McLamb, Gail Hobbs, and Natasha Johnson.  Chairwoman Smith called meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.  Announcements - Dr. Laura Smith, OD, Chairwoman announced the special meeting of the Board of Health which has been scheduled to discuss the interview team's selection for the new Health Director. The Board of Health members unanimously Motion made by Dr. Kim Fowler, PhD, to appoint Ainsley Johnson as the Health Director effective April 4, 2024 and seconded by Ms. Amy Allen, Motion Carried. Ainsley Johnson took the Oath of the office of the Local Health Director of Harnett County; Oath ceremony and recorded Oath was performed by Notary Public Deborah  approved the selection of Ainsley Johnson.  Fann.  Closed Session - There was no need for closed session.  New Business Chairwoman Smith opened the floor for New Business. Being none  Chairwoman Smith closed New Business. Chairwoman Smith adjourned the meeting.
