Board Member Allen Robbins called the meeting of the Fate Municipal Development District No. 1 to order at 6:00 P.M. on the 9th day of July 2024, in the Fate Community City Secretary Victoria Raduechel confirmed the presence of a quorum. Board Member Bob Chambers moved to approve the minutes of the Fate Municipal 1 MEETING HELD JUNE 11, 2024. Development District No. 1 meeting held June 11, 2024, as presented. Board Member Cheyenna Tellez seconded the motion. Walking Tour In Downtown Fate Justin Weiss, Economic Development Manager led the MDD Board of Directors on a Walking Tour of Downtown Fate. Walking Tour Route: Begin at the Fate Community Center, 104 South W.E. Crawford at 6:05 p.m. Walked to the Fate Department of Public Safety Administration Office, 104 E. Discussion Concerning Development Of The Block Of Properties Located On The Southwest Corner Of FM 551 And Fate Main Place Commonly Known As Ramston/Turer: Block," Currently The Location Of The Fate Food Haul; And Discussion Concerning Fate Department Of Public Safety Facilities And Costs. Justin Weiss, Economic Development Manager led the MDD Board of Directors in a work- session/discussion regarding the development of the block of properties commonly known as Ramston/Turner Block" located on the southwest corner of FM 551 and Fate Main and Fate Department of Public Safety facilities and costs. They currently operate on the other half of the Four Czechs building in downtown, and in a couple rooms within the fire station. The City has the option to go at it alone and bond for the full cost of development of a new building, or find a way to work with a developer to save The City is looking to partner with a private developer, Ramston, to constructa mixed-use development in downtown that would include a Fate DPS The City is actively negotiating with the developer to have a building provided tot the City at no cost, or a deeply discounted cost, that will save Fate taxpayers money. headquarters and police station.
