Due toi the water damage the plaster is starting to separate from the wall. Cheri Vaughn asked ift the insurance would help pay fori the damage to the walls. Ms. Knight responded that the insurance company has denied the claim stating that the damage was caused from seepage and not from the roof. The insurance company believes the damage is not coming from the roof but, from the sides of the house and is pre-existing damage that happened before the Knight's purchased the home. Scarlett Boutchyard confirmed thati the insurance company thinks that this is from wear and tear and not from al hurricane. Ms. Knight responded, thei insurance company believes that the damage is caused from seepage from the siding. Cheri Vaughn referred to the Design Guidelines concerning replacing roofs with the same materials that were original. Cheri Vaughn continued to aski if was possible to replace portions oft the roof overtime and if Ms. Knight had obtained an estimate for replacing portions oft the roof? Ms. Knight did not know if that would be possible. Ms. Knight referred to the Design Guidelines concerning hardship, due to that she is not able to afford a standing seam metal roof shei thought that she would be considered fora hardship.
