He explained that the owners would like tos replace it with a fiberglass column do to the fact thatt the fiberglass material would last long. He explained that thet top and base oft the column would be wood and would match the detail oft the original. Mr. Horton answered questions from the Commission. The Commission asked about the cost difference between a: fiberglass column and a wood one. Mr. Horton stated that the fiberglass column did cost more, butt thel Nichols wanted to go with fiberglass with thel hope that the new column would last longer.
