Mayor Dugger reports that PD tasers are obsolete. Officer Garlowich is getting - Mayor Dugger reports that new PD Officer, John Kauer starts later this week. Councilman Chuck Leighty reports 17 total calls the VFD responded to during the month of June 2024. Two calls inj the Borough, six calls in the township and quotes to replace them. Fire Department (Fire Chief Jeff King) - no report. nine calls for assistance by other neighboring VFD's. Code Enforcement (Mike Garlowich): - Mayor Dugger reports 2 citations issued for Streets/Public Works (Chuck Leighty) - Chuck reports that the street sweeper is broke. property maintenance issues. Utilities (Joe Lane) - no report. Sewage Authority (Mindy Dugger) - no report. Sanitation/Safety (Jason Frazier) - Noble Environmental has a new customer service phone number for Everson Residents and it is: 724-929-7694 Animal Control (Sam Vargo) no report. Parks/Recreation (Mindy Dugger) - The Summer Lunch program with the Southmoreland School District is going well. Jason Frazier motions to accept the final change order with the Storm Water Drain project, which netted out as a $5,516 reduction in cost of the project. Seconded by Mindy Dugger. Mindy Dugger motions to approve St. Joe'sr request to close Coal Alley during their festival. Seconded by Hope Peterson. Motion carried with one amendment = "That the Borough will block-off the left side of Vance Street between Coal Alley and Maple Street" SO that emergency vehicles can safely traverse Vance Street during thet festival. 4. Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) for Everson's Web Site Maintenance for Christina Dugger. Hope Peterson motions to accept Christina Dugger's ICA proposal whereby she receives $80 per month for a minimum of2 hours of web site maintenance work each month. Seconded by Jason Frazier.
