Borough ofCoraopolis Allegheny County, Pennsylvania Council Workshop Meeting by teleconfèrence April 5, 2023 6:30PM The Workshop Meeting of the Borough of Coraopolis was called to order by Council President, David Pendel. Al Roll Call ofMembers was taken. Present Robb Cardimen Rudy Bolea Ed Pitassi Chad Kraynyk George Mihalyi Allison Marine Gary Flasco David Pendel Michael Dixon, Mayor Mr. Pendel asked ift there were any questions on the Agenda. Being none, the meeting continued. Mr. Pendel invited Randon Willard to discuss the CCDC's Coraopolis Second Saturdays Street Festival and Mr. Randon Willard said our Second Saturdays are scheduled for. June, July and August and in October for the Fall Festival. For the Fall Festival, we are asking for Mill Street and Pine Way to be blocked off, also the. Jailhouse lot sot that vendors can use it. We are planning a Kid's Zone area and are requesting the left side of the Gazebo Lot to form a U with Mill Street and Pine Way. I think this would help open communications between us and the Public Works Department and he continued Mr. Flasco said I received al bid for the gazebo in the amount of$3,000.00, which is for replacement ofthe floor, painting and repairing all the wood around it and to repair and paint the three benches. We are waiting for a second bid and we' re going to have a discussion with Tom from Penn State in reference to what we' re going to do with that area. He continued to explain and a discussion pursued. Mr. Flasco said Ia also want to suggest that we move those benches out ofthere, they are in bad condition. It needs two catch basins and something like a Mr. Cardimen said someone has given me al bid for one catch basin and 800 feet of pipe for $21,000.00, but after speaking with Mr. Null and Mr. Deems, we definitely need two catch basins. Mr. McCutcheon said we will be receiving a pay request for Riverfront Park, it's a little over $71,500.00. We did get some grant money and I will move it over to our general fund, but have to make sure thatl I that this may be something that we get. check to them for the Memorial Day Parade and he continued to explain. Ichecked the numbers and since 2014 we've done over $5M in infrastructure, over $600,000.00 in traffic signals all ofv which was, grant money, we' ve replaced vehicles, replaced the basketball court at Shelley Jones and installed ai new one at the Ridge Avenue Tot Lot and he continued to explain.
