May 16, 2022  Absentee Meeting Minutes  The meeting was called to order on May 16, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at the Cumberland County  Board of Elections by the Chair.  Present: Staff: Guests: N/A  Helen Nelson - Chair  Billy King Member  Linda Devore Member James Baker Member Irene Grimes - Secretary  Angela Amaro, Vickie Hilburn  PUBLIC COMMENT: N/A regular meeting (June 2022). Second: Member King Vote: Unanimous in favor Second: Member King Vote: Unanimous in favor  ACTION: Member Grimes moves that the Board move item V (Invocation Policy) to the next  ACTION: Member Devore moves that the Board approve the agenda as amended.  Staff member Hillburn presents 7 ballot envelopes that have not been appropriately filled out and recommends that the Board not approve them. Voters will be contacted and encouraged ACTION: Member Grimes moves that the Board do not approve the seven presented ballots.  tov vote in person.  Second: Member Devore Vote: Unanimous ini favor  Staff member hill burn presents 126 ballot envelopes (115 Civilian, 4 Military, 7 Overseas) That have been received and reports that the staff recommendation is to approve them. Board ACTION: Member Devore moves that the Board approve the 126 presented ballot envelopes,  members spot check the envelopes. as recommended by staff. Second: Member King Vote: Unanimous in favor DS200 to 256.
