WELCOME. AND PUBLIC COMMENTS Trey Wallace, Terry Smith, and Barry Scott spoke during the Public Comments of Commissioners CONSIDERIDISCUSSIAPPROVE ANNUAL DONATION TO MEALS FOR THE ELDERLY- Dason Tucker presented the Commissioners Court with the 2023 Yeari inl Review. Commissioners Court informed Mr. Tucker that $500.00 has already been entered into the proposed budget for CONSIDERIDISCUSSIAPPROVE POSSIBLE TAX ABATEMENTS FOR DUCK CREEK SOLAR, LLC, CONCHO PEARL SOLAR, LLC AND DUCK CREEK STORAGE, LLC : BY GARRETT PETERS, WITH K.E. ANDREWS -TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION Mr. Peters gave projected start dates oft the possible tax abatements; Duck Creek Solar, LLCis proposed to begin construction mid-2026; Concho Pearl Solar, LLC is proposed to begin construction the end of 2026; and Duck Creek Storage, LLC is proposed to begin construction in early 2027. Mr. Peters is not making any formal offers, just presenting the Commissioners with an overview oft the projects. Judge Dillard advised Mr. Peters that we were meeting with potential new counsel this week. No action taken at this time. See Exhibits "C","D", and' "E", respectively. CONSIDERIDISCUSSIAPPROVE GETTING A SURVEY ON THE COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY ACROSS FROM THE PAINT ROCK COMMUNITY CENTER = TAKE Commissioner Gierischi made ar motion to call SKG Engineering and have them come do a survey of the County owned property located across from the Paint Rock Community Center, duly CONSIDERIDISCUSCUSS/APPROVE PURCHASE OF DUMP TRUCK FROM CATERPILLARFOR Commissioner. Dillard stated that the owner of the dump truck that he is looking at will be listingi it on BuyBoard. Commissioner Dillard made a motion to approve the purchase of a dump truck for Precinct 4, duly seconded by Commissioner Gully. Motion carried unanimously. The court took a recess at 10:43 a.m. to read through the previous meetings' minutes and Court. DASON TUCKER - TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION the upcoming year. APPROVE MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING Commissioner Gully made a motion to approve the minutes from the August 13, 2024, regular meeting, the minutes from the August 13, 2024, Budget Workshop, and the minutes from the August 19, 2024, Special Meeting to approve of the proposed tax rate, as presented, duly seconded by Commissioner Gierisch. Motion carried unanimously. CONSIDERIAPPROVE ALL ACCOUNTS PAYABLE FOR CONCHO COUNTY = TAKE Mrs. Gierisch presented the monthly Accounts Payable Claim Register from August 14, 2024, through August 26, 2024, with a total of $46,043.14. Commissioner Bradshaw made a motion to approve and pay all accounts due and owing by Concho County, duly seconded by Commissioner APPROPRIATE ACTION Dillard. Motion carried unanimously. See Exhibit "F" CONSIDER BURN BAN- TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION No action willl be taken. The Burn Ban will remain in effect. REPORTS, INFORMATION AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS - NO ACTION TO BE TAKEN Judge Dillard stated that he will be in Austin the rest of this week for the Legislative Conference, and is planning on meeting with Aaron Clements, thel Dixens County Attorney about the proposed Ther next Commissioners Court meeting willl be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 9:30a.m. for a Public Hearing on the proposed FY 2025 Budget; 9:45 a.m. for a Public Hearing on the proposed FY 2025 Tax Rate for General Fund and Special Road and Bridge; and 10:00a.m. for the adoption of the FY 2025 Budget and FY 2025 Tax Rate for General Fund and FY 2025 Tax There BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS OR ACTIONS to come before this regular session of the Commissioners Court, said session was adjourned by County Judge Dillard on this, the 13th tax abatements.
