The Board of Elections has wooden office table 4ft. wide x 10ft. long x 30in tall they no longer have space, ability or want to use it. They wanted to offer it out to all the other county offices if any would have use fori it. If not, they would like to have it removed from their office into JDC if space is available there. Commissioner Robinson and Commissioner Antram agreed tol have the table removed from the Board of] Elections office and COMMISSIONERS DISCUSSION stored in the former JDC building. Andrew Baumer, Auglaize County Engineer requested that the joint board of Commissioners of Auglaize and Logan County approve the assessments for permanent maintenance on Barnes 5%, Metz 15%, Swartz 20%, and Thrush 5% ditches. All these ditches are open ditches. Barnes Ditch current account balance $675.50. 2024 maintenance cost annually $421.00, 2023 maintenance Swartz Ditch current account balance is negative -$588.00. 2024 maintenance cost annually $500.00 spraying plus $1700 maintenance, 2023 $900 maintenance completed the20% will generate $2100.00. Discussed Dog License Fees for 2025. Starting December 1, 2024, dog tags will increase $2.00 for a one-year tag, other fees being added for 2025 is an adoption fee of $20.00 plus veterinarian fees. Commissioner Robinson stated, "This is ai tax for people who take care oft their dogs, for those who do not take care oft their dogs." Commissioner Antram indicated dog tags are important for owners to purchase in case a dog gets loose and is found. Ift they have a tag, it is easier for them to be returned to their owners. The Logan County Auditor has collected $71,943.18 from the notice of assessments. Torsell communicated due to ai recent automobile accident in July caused a power surge that affected the HVAC system software boards which controls the heating and cooling system. Johnson Controls were called to inspect and got them back up and running for the time being. However, the current boards are 22 years old and are at the end oflife. Johnson Controls indicated any future issues would be difficult to replace software boards due to them being obsolete. Mr. Yaussy indicated that Johnson Controls could tap into other County HVAC systems which could be accessed by County Maintenance Supervisor Jared Patterson and SheriffMaintenance Supervisor Mr. Yaussy. Johnson Controls estimated the software upgrade to be $80K.
