Consideration and possible action: Consideration and possible action: A resolution of the City Council oft the City of Santa Fe, Texas, extending the disaster declaration issued by mayoral proclamation on City Manager Alun Thomas explained that once the Mayor declares a disaster declaration the disaster declaration can bei in effect for one week and cannot be extended without the majority vote oft the governing body for the entity. Bye extending the disaster declaration, the City can continue to receive aid from the Federal Government as iti is still needed, because the response to Hurricane Beryl exceeds the City's ability to handle the response with its Motion by Councimember McCamy, seconded by Councimember Jannett, to approve the resolution extending the disaster declaration issued by mayoral proclamation on July 8, 2024, in response to Hurricane Beryl as presented. Mr. Thomas noted thati if the extension date is approaching and the Citys should need to extend again, itis to do SO before the end oft the month (July). Councilmember Jannett asked about burning the debris, Mr. possible Thomas said that permit-free burning began today (July 14, 2024) with permission from Fire Marshal Ramon Coven and will Police Chief Walter Braun gave al brief update on the ongoing operations. Chief Braun answered questions citizens with power outages and if they would need permits to have the power restored, there are certain about instances that permits would be needed. Mr. Thomas reassured the Council that the permits coming in only this Motion by Councimember Mayor Pro Tem Jannett to adjourn.
