TREE & LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE MINUTES  On this the 16th day of July 2024, the Tree and Landscape Committee of the City of Rockport held a Meeting at 5:30 p.m. at Rockport Service Center, 2751 SH 35 Bypass, Rockport, Texas and notice of meeting giving time, date and subject having been posted as described in V.T.C.A., Government Code $  551.041. Chairperson Steckler called the meeting to order at approximately 5:30 p.m.  Workshop Agenda  2. Deliberate and act on the May 23, 2024 minutes as presented. seconded the motion. Motion to approve passed unanimously.  Member Linda Frank asked for motion to accept minutes. Member Laura Denham 3. Hear, deliberate, and act on a Tree Survey and Mitigation Plan presented for Daniels Forest Subdivision located at 116 Forest Hills, also known as Lot 26, Block 18, Rockport Country Member Linda Frank made a motion to approve with the stipulation that if installation of new 8" water line in the ROW damages trees, mitigation will be required. Discussion, consideration, and action regarding a request to the City Council to allow the Tree & Landscape Committee to expend funds for allowed expenditures from the Tree Mitigation Member Carla Belaire motioned to approvelamend ordinance. Member Laura Denham  Account with a "not to exceed" amount.  seconded the motion.  Chairperson Shelly Stickler spoke. Community Planner Carey Dietrich spoke.  6.1 Discussion, consideration, and action regarding a request for an expenditure from the Tree Mitigation Fund in the amount of $300.00 for the purpose of purchasing 24 Tanzfrosch 20  Gallon Tree Watering Bags. Old Business  a.] Report regarding leasing of Billboards #212 and #764  Discussion regarding a workshop on al Monday or Thursday, mid-morning. Council Liaison Andrea Hattman spoke suggesting adding one more billboard. Community Planner spoke. The lease is for 1 year but could look into a 61 month lease.
