Minutes The City of Princeton City Council Housing Standards Commission Meeting of August 22, 2024 The City Council of the City of Princeton, Texas, met in Special Session on August 22, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at the Municipal Center, located at 2000 E. Princeton Dr. Princeton, Texas 75407. The following City Commission members were present: Mayor Brianna Chacôn, Mayor Pro Tempore Steven Deffibaugh, Commission members David Kleiber, Commission members Carolyn David-Graves, Commission members Ben Long, and Commission members Marlo Obera. The following City Commission members were absent: Commission member Ryan Gerfers, and Commission member Bryan Washington. Mayor Chacôn called roll, present were Commission members: Marlo Obera, David Kleiber, Mayor Pro Tempore Steven Deffibaugh, Ben Long, and Carolyn Davd-Graves. Mayor Chacôn called the City Council Meeting to order at 5:02 p.m Mayor Chacon announced Public. Appearance: John Prom, Clinton Lowrance, MaryLou Pettis, Brendan Palmer, Madelin Awalt, Terrance Johnson, Maxine Ellis, Traci Dimond, Robert Lower, Chad Konger, Dax Ferguson. Mayor Chacôn announced the first item under the Consent Agenda C.1 2024- 172: Consider approving the following Housing Standards Commission meeting minutes; and take the appropriate action. September 11, 2023, Housing Standards Commission Meeting. Mayor Pro Tempore Steven Deffibaugh made a motion to approve. Commission member David Kleiber seconded the motion to approve. The motion carried 5-0. Mayor Chacon announced the Public Hearing D.1 2024-173: Conduct a public hearing and take appropriate action regarding the property located at 599 W. Princeton Drive and owned by Princeton Luxury Apartments, LLC. Mayor Chacôn opened the public hearing at 6:03 p.m. Mayor Chacôn closed the public hearing at 6:57 p.m. Mayor Pro Tempore Steven Deffibaugh made a motion to approve with additional agreement for current & new owner to be present at every meeting until October 28. Commission member Ben Long seconded the motion to 2 approve with additional agreement for current & new owner to be present at every meeting until October 28. Mayor Chacôn announced Executive Session: Under terms of Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, a governmental body may enter into Closed Session or Executive Session to discuss the following: Section 551.071, Texas Government Code. Consultation with attorney on pending or contemplated litigation, a settlement offer, or a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code on any agenda item listed elsewhere within this agenda and/or the subject matter listed below: 599 W.
