CITIZEN COMMENTS There were no citizen comments. APPROVAL OF MINUTES  Treasurer Mortimer moved to approve the minutes of the June 4, 2024 Orange Economic Development Corporation Special Call Meeting. Second to the motion was made by Secretary Secretary Burch moved to approve the minutes of the June 25, 2024 Orange Economic Development Corporation Meeting. Second to the motion was made by Director Spears, which  Burch, which carried unanimously.  carried unanimously. DUE TO COORDINATION EFFORTS WITH Ms. Gravett began with some opening remarks and advised the extension, if granted, would be Mr. Childs advised his project had been tied up for the last six months with the State of Texas, regarding the curb cut for an additional side driveway to allow access for semi-trucks. He advised Treasurer Mortimer thanked Mr. Childs for bringing backup materials and supplying them with detailed information, in order for the Corporation to make an educated decision. He advised that Director Spears advised he was apologetic that Mr. Childs was having to deal with such a long, Secretary Burchmoved to approve the motion. REPORTS FROM DIRECTORS  Director Spears advised he was happy to see Cooper's Gully was working well, ast the City recently experienced some inclement weather. ADJOURN TO CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION  7. a)  Deliberation Regarding Economic Development Negotiations as authorized by (1) Deliberation regarding economic development negotiations as authorized by Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code discussions concerning the proposed change inuse oft the downtown Riverfront Boardwalk &Pavilion property, located at 116 6th Street, Orange, Texas 77630, from open space tot flood protection, including a concrete wall, levee, and pump station. (2) Deliberation regarding real estate development project proposal as authorized by Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code.  Section 551 of the Texas Government Code:  The Economic Development Corporation met in a closed executive session at 8:15 a.m.  RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION  The Economic Development Corporation reconvened in open session at 8:51 a.m.  The following action was taken for Item 7a( (1):  MOTION APPROVING SUPPORT BY THE ORANGE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATONFORTHEUSACESABNETOGATOGAVESTONG2PROIECTMPACTNGTHE DOWNTOWARIVERFRONTBOARDWALKAPAVILION.116N. 6'STREET, ORANGE,TEXAS 77630, AND TO PERMIT PROPERTY ACCESS BY THE USACEANDITS REPRESENTATIVES FORTESTINGANDDESIGNPURPOSES, SUBJECTTOAPPROPRIATEACCESSAGREEMENT: Director Spears moved to approve the motion.
