OONARD  RESOLUTION No. 240709-1  A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LEONARD, TEXAS, APPROVING CONTRACTOR PAYMENT APPLICATION No.1 FOR LYNN VESSELS CONSTRUCTION, LLC, IN THE AMOUNT OF $181,947.72, FOR WORK ON THE' "12- INCH WATER LINE," ASSOCIATED WITH THE WATER SYSTEM UPGRADES  PROJECT, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.  WHEREAS, The City of Leonard (the "City") is a General Type A municipality located in Fannin County, WHEREAS, the City of Leonard has secured funding and issued a combination tax and revenue certificate ofo obligation, Series 2022, int the amount of$1,750,000 providingi funds for needed water system upgrades WHEREAS, the City Council has previously engaged Lynn Vessels Construction, LLC1 fort the construction of the 12-inch water line, by acceptance of Resolution No. 240514-11 at an open duly noticed meeting on WHEREAS, the City has made all necessary publications meeting statutory requirements; and WHEREAS, the contractor, Lynn Vessels Construction, LLC, has submitted a payment application for $181,947.72, and such application has been reviewed and approved by the city engineer; NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITI RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LEONARD, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the payment of application No. 1 in the amount of $181,947.72 to Lynn Vessels Construction, LLC. for work on the 12-inch water line project. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective after the City Council's adoption.
