Consider and act on a resolution of the City Council oft the City of Corinth, Texas adopting a proposed FY 2024-2025 municipal tax rate that will not exceed the voter-approval tax rate; calling a public hearing to be held on September 5, 2024 at Corinth City Hall at 6:30 p.m.; requiring publication of a Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Increase in accordance with state law; providing for the incorporation of premises; and Motion made by Mayor Pro Tem Burke: Ir move to approve a resolution placing ap proposal on the September 19, 2024 Council Agenda to consider a FY 2024-2025 property tax rate of$.51480, per one hundred dollars (S100)ofvaluation, which exceeds the no-new-revenue tax rate of $0.49209 buti is below thel Del Minimis Tax Rate of $0.51596 and the voter-approval tax rate of $0.51490, and to set the public hearing on the proposal to consider approving the tax rate for Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at Corinth City Hall at 3300 Voting Yea: Mayor Pro Tem Burke, Council Member Garber, Council Member Rayl, Council Member providing an effective date.
