John Johnson seconded. All in Favor Opposed Abstentions 5 0 0 New Business Program REPORTS Donna Jenereski reviewed a list ofFY 2024-2025 D&A contracts for the Board. Jennifer O'Neal gave aj presentation on The CARE Center and the services they provide. SCA: Case Managemenl/reammenl/Prevention Updates: - The Center on Center update- The Center continues to be open three days a week from 1:00-7:00pm and membership has grown to over: 50 individuals. The Center now offers weekly meetings including Refuge Recovery, Moms in Recovery, Faces ofRecovery, and All Recovery.. A Professionals in Recovery meeting will also be starting on August 16th and will also be offered weekly. The Center also continues to offer heART for Sobriety every Friday afternoon consisting ofa a variety ofarts/crafts and fellowship. 1 Butler County Drug & Alcohol Advisory Board - July 16, 2024 Meeting Minutes The Center recently hosted a July 4th event for approximately 100: individuals in recovery as well as family and/or friends. Upcoming events being planned include an ice cream social event scheduled for Friday, July 19th. Faces of] Recovery will bel hosting two upcoming events at the Center. These include ai movie night in the back parking lot oft the Center scheduled for. July 27th and ai masquerade ball at the Center scheduled for September 28th. .C County Overdose update- updated numbers at the current time. A Annual SCA Monitoring- scheduled for July 31st. We did: reach out to the coroner's office last week but they were unable to provide us with Department ofl Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) Updates: We continue to prepare for the onsite portion of our annual monitoring with DDAP scheduled for August 7th. As part oft the annual monitoring cycle, a virtual meeting with DDAP has also been We are also scheduled to complete an annual Case Management meeting with DDAP and thisi is scheduled for August 19th. The meeting will consist of a review ofl DDAP's CMCS manual requirements, a discussion regarding how CM operates in Butler County, how we disseminate information/education within the community, communicable disease requirements, medication assisted treatment, the warm handoff process, and outreach & engagement strategies for priority We continue to work on contracts for next fiscal year and the remaining contracts will be and special populations. FY2024-2025 Contracts- presented for board review at the August meeting. State Updates: FY2024-25 State Budget-The state budget for FY 2024-25 is finished. As expected, D&A remains flat funded. We have also learned that Intermediate Punishment funding through the PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) remains flat funded. Financial Report Case Manager Report Bill Kepple reviewed the allocations and expenditures through June 30, 2024. Tracey Hendrix reviewed the statistics for the Monthly Assessment Services, the Information/Referal Services (IRS), and the Client Location graph for the month of. June 2024. She also reviewed the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Fourth Quarter Assessment Statistics, the Quarterly Referrals, Drug of Choice Statistics, Top Drugs ofUsage, and the Client Location Graph. Prevention Report Lisa Gill gave an overview ofupcoming Drug & Alcohol prevention events and trainings. She reviewed the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Fourth Quarter Prevention Service Data: including the 2 Butler County Drug & Alcohol Advisory Board - July 16, 2024 Meeting Minutes Preyention/ntervention: Number of Services, Number of] Individuals Served, and the Prevention Demographic Data. She reviewed the Fourth Quarter Number of Prevention Services by Location and by Age Group. She provided ai flyer for the Butler County Summer Conference and the Plugged into Mindfulness training. PCCD Update Kristan Semmler reported there are nine (9) active participants in the DRC program. Two people are in intensive outpatient, three are in outpatient, two individuals are ini inpatient, one is ina halfway house and one is in jail pending a hearing. Drug Treatment Court Update Donna reported there are currently twelve (12) people participating in the program. One person is in al halfway house, four individuals are in inpatient, two are ini intensive outpatient and four are in outpatient treatment. One individual is currently inj jail pending a violation hearing and further order oft the court. We have three to four referrals. Council Members' ConcemsComments/Amnouncements Providers' Concers/Comments/Ammouncements There were: none. Kenneth Clowes gave an update on BC3's Hope is Dope programing for fall and winter. The first class is scheduled for the end of August and will be held at the Butler VA in partnership with the Veterans' Overwatch Foundation. He announced that they are planning to hold Hope is Dope classes at the Butler County Prison. Professional series classes and one Community series class will also bel held. Summer Hope Nights are still being held. The Karaoke and Ice-cream night was held at the Center on Center on June 20. Cornhole night will be held on July 25. The annual Stories of Hope will be held in September. Public Comment Regarding General Items There were no public comments.
