June 30, Noj program was scheduled for this meeting. 1 Butler County Drug & Alcohol Advisory Board- - March 19, 2024 Meeting Minutes REPORTS Director's Report SCA: Case MangementTreatmentPrevention Updates: - SRU Institute for NomprofitlLeaderahip: Recovering Life Initiatives update- Thel heART for Sobriety art/craft activities continue to be offered at SUCCEED each Friday The Impacting Together recovery advocacy group is nowi meeting on a weekly basis, in preparation for the opening oft the recovery center. The group continues to focus on preparing for the opening oft the recovery center and eventually transitioning to a recovery community from 3:00pm to 4:30pm. organization (RCO). F Recovery Center update- The Nonprofit Development Corporation (NDC) continues to work oni necessary repairs and renovations to the building. The repairs to the roofhave been completed and they have started work to replace the HVAC system. The tentative opening date for the recovery center will be April 26th. A grand opening fort the center is currently being planned for May gth at 1:00pm. As mentioned several months ago, we: received notification oft the re-credentialing process with Carelon. This process occurs every three (3)years and typically consists oft the pre-submission of documents followed by an on-site visit several months later. We did submit the required documents in] November and we are waiting for the on-site visit to be scheduled. At the beginning ofl March, we began the revalidation process through DHS for continued participation in the Medical Assistance (MA) program. The revalidation process occurs every five (5)years and consists of an application along with the submission of required documents and attestations. We hope to complete this process within the next 1-2 weeks. As mentioned last month, the final 2023 confirmed number ofoverdose deaths is 41. For 2024, as ofl last week, there have been 5 confirmed overdose deaths thus far with 8 cases still For comparison purposes: at this time last year, there had been 8 confirmed overdose deaths and Re-credentialing Process with Carelon update- F Revalidation with Dept. ofHuman Services (DHS)- County Overdose update- pending. 40 cases still pending. Department ofl Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) Updates: . DDAP Annual SCA Program Monitoring- At the beginning ofMarch, we received notification that our pre-submission packet was due to DDAP by April 1st. We are currently working on the packet and will submit it by the required As mentioned last month, we. have received our provider assignments for FY 2023-24 and we have started scheduling monitoring visits with all assigned in-county providers. This includes the due date. A Annual Provider Monitoring- 2 Butler County Drug & Alcohol Advisory Board- -N March 19, 2024 Meeting Minutes monitoring oft treatment, prevention, intervention, case management, and certified recovery specialist (CRS) services. XYZI Rate Setting Process- As mentioned last month, the FY 2024-25 rate setting process for all non-hospital residential and halfway house providers began at the beginning of] February. We have received completed rate packets and we are in the process ofs scheduling a meeting with other SCA's within our region to review the packets. State Updates: None Financial Report Case Manager Report Bill Kepple reviewed the allocations and expenditures through February 29, 2024. Tracey Hendrix reviewed the statistics for the Monthly Assessment Services, the Information/Referral Services (IRS), and the Client Location graph for the month of February 2024. Prevention Report Lisa Gill gave an overview of upcoming Drug & Alcohol prevention events and trainings. She reviewed the Prevention Service Data: including the Preyention/ntervention: Number of Services, Number ofIndividuals Served, and the Prevention Demographic Data for the month of February 2024. She provided a flyer for an event at SRU on the dangers of sports betting and a flyer for the Butler County Summer Conference. Nominating Committee Board Reappointment: Kristan Semmler asked for ai motion to reappoint Alicia Beighley to serve a second term on the Board. Mark Lope made the motion, John Johnson seconded All in Favor Opposed Abstentions 5 0 0 PCCD Update treatment. Kristan Semmler reported there is one individual in long term treatment, one in al halfway house, one isi in IOP. There are two individuals in outpatient, and five who have completed their Drug Treatment Court Update Donna reported that there are currently fifteen (15) individuals participating in thej program. Three are in al halfway house, two are in inpatient, the remainder are in outpatient. There is one person in jail on a violation pending further order of the court. There are one or two pending referrals to the program.
