January 2, 2024 County of] Elk Salary Board Meeting Minutes  Elk County, Ridgway, PA  The County of] Elk Commissioners met on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM, County of Elk Courthouse Thomas G. Wagner Conference Room. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Those present were Commissioners M. FritzLecker, Matthew G. Quesenberry and Gregory J. Gebauer. Also present were. Rick Brown, Solicitor; Patrick Straub, Chief Clerk; Kary Schneider, Deputy Chief Clerk; Emily Anders, Office. Administrator; Calvin Moore, IT; Matthew Frey, Treasurer; Lee Neureiter, Register Recorder; Gerald Copella, Director of  Veterans Affairs; and Marilyn Secco, Press.  FORMALITY:  Commissioners M. FritzLecker, Matthew Quesenberry, and Gregory Gebauer along with Treasurer, Matthew Frey comprise the members of the Elk County Salary Board. The Chairperson oft the Salary Board is the Chairperson for the County Commissioners, M. Fritz  Lecker.  APPROVAL OF AGENDA and carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES  A motion was made by Gregory J. Gebauer to approve the agenda, seconded by M. Fritz) Lecker  December 13, 2023 - A motion was made by Matthew G. Quesenberry to approve the December 13, 2023 minutes as presented, seconded by M. Fritz. Lecker. Matthew Frey  abstained. The motion was carried. OLD BUSINESS -N/A NEW BUSINESS  1. Extend one (1) temporary part time Veterans Affairs Trainer position int the Veterans Affairs Department to be filled by Leslie Neal, the outgoing Veterans Affairs Director through 5/31/24, with a maximum oft twenty-one (21) hours per week. This position will have aj pay rate of $25.19 per hour. A motion made by Matthew G. Quesenberry, seconded by 2. Collapse the secretary/Computer Operator position within the Recycling Department effective 12/31/23 - A motion made by M. Fritz Lecker, seconded by Matthew G.  Gregory J.
