May 15th to 'March on the Capital' for funding for mental health services. She reported the Western Region Community Support Program sent two busses to the capital on Ms. Hamilton gave as summary of CSP events. The Wellness Walk will be held on May 17. They will start at Diamond Park and walk to the Grapevine. There will be food and activities outdoors at the Grapevine. The Speaker Jam will bel held on June 12 at the Masonic Shelter in Alameda The County Suicide Coalition has created cards to distribute at various events. Intellectual Disabilities Report Ms. Wearing provided copies oft the summer newsletter, 'The Vision' for the Board. She gave an overview oft the articles, events, and activities including the annual Butler County Picnic to be Ms. Wearing reported we are going to begin our fiscal year renewal rollover this month. All the plans in our program have to be flipped from this fiscal year to next fiscal year. The state will host the regional employment symposium at the Monarch Institute on June 12. Participants in the program, employers, and folks that provide employment services are invited. MH/EI/ID Administrator Report Mr. Savochka reported that both Human Services Block Grant hearings were well attended. A new theme that emerged this yeari is the need for people tol have connections; in-person relationships within their community, in order to have a strong support system to help find the Mr. Savochka reported the Recovery Center is officially open. The Center was funded by opioid settlement funds, and reinvestment funds through HealthChoices. The Center is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:00 to 7:00. They are planning a cookout for Memorial Day. Glade Run committed to have the Warming Center for next year. Their golftournament fundraiser is scheduled for September 27. Last year's golft tournament raised $30,000 whichi is Mr. Savochka announced that Butler County was selected to host the PACHSA Summer Showcase this year and it will bel held on June 20 and 21. We will present several ofour programs on the morning oft the first day, one ofwhich will be the ID Family Engagement program. Ini the afternoon we will visit our different programs within the County, including the Mr. Savochka reported that he had the opportunity to speak to some of our local legislators on May 3 about funding for mental health. There has not been an increase in thel last ten to twelve years. Last year's $20 million increase worked out to only $223,000 for our county, which was less than 5% of our overall base funds. Our Crisis cost increased $470,000. A $201 million increase is on the proposed budget this year and while we are thankful that it is starting to be discussed, it will continue to be a struggle because we have made al huge commitment to our supports they need. about 40% ofthe overall budget for the Warming Center.
