GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidates, at the time ofapplication must: (1) Possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a graduate equivalency diploma (GED); (2) Be Act 120 Certified underi the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Act (Act 120), or shall have succéssfully compléted Act 120 Training and successfully passéd.: the final. exam, or shall be énrolled ina Municipal Police. Academy (Act 120). (NOTE: Upon completion oft thé testing. and background process, the. list of eligible candidates will be certified. At that time, applicants must be certified through Act1 120to be included in the list of three of eligible candidates which will be presented to council. Should an applicant not be certified through Act1 120 they may remain on the list but be ineligible for appointment.
