Russ Touchberry, Councilmembers Kima Garten-Schmidt (Zoom), Bob. Jackson (phone), Aaron Brown, Tiffany. Johnson-Wilson, Matt Halter and Richard G. Waring, IV (Zoom). Alsoi in attendance were' Town Administrator. Lisa Wallace, Town Attorney GW: Parker, and Town Clerk Beth Messervy. A quorum was met. Public andj press were duly notified. The meeting took place in Council  Chambers at 200 South Main Street, Summerville, SC.  CALLTOORDER EXECUTIVE SESSION:  Mayor Touchberry called the meeting to order at 3:00pm on Friday, June 21, 2024.  Mr. Halter: made ai motion, seconded' by Mr. Brown, to enter into Executive Session to discuss contractual matters related to the new Town Administrator. The motion carried unanimously, and Council entered into Executive Session at 3:01pm. Ms. Garten-Schmidt and Mr. Waring voted via Zoom, and Mr. Council reconvened at 3:22pm. Town Attorney GW Parker stated that Council meti in Executive Session to discuss contractual matters related to thei new Town. Administrator. He stated that no action was taken  Jackson voted via conference call on the telephone.  in Executive Session. OTHER BUSINESS:  Mr. Halter made ai motion, seconded by Ms. Johnson-Wilson, to authorize the' Town Attorney and Mayor to finalize the contract, as presented to Council, with Scott Slatton for the Town Administrator position. Ms.. Johnson-Wilson made ai motion, seconded byl Mr. Brown, to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried unanimously, and Mayor Touchberry adjourned the meeting at 3:24pm.
