RUSSELL RINALDI: Anybody have any requests for Joe? MR. NOTARI: Couple. The driveway on Edgewood Drive, Salavanti driveway, have we done anything with that? I know we were getting quotes, I believe, and we had a plan. MR. LOPATKA: We didn't have a plan. I think Joe was going to get quotes. So the other thing was that just, in talking to Councilman Hoover, to get it surveyed. Actually, they did the fieldwork. I'm waiting for the information back to see how we can kind of regrade that to drain it. So Is should have a survey back within the next couple days. The other thought was, depending on what has to be done, I think you're going to 10 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 put that on the paving bid as an add alternate just sO it's covered in case we have to send somebody over there to mill it out or regrade something. MR. NOTARI: So we're waiting for a survey? MR. LOPATKA: Well, the fieldwork was done. Just waiting for the actual mapping back. MR. NOTARI: Then we're waiting to put it on the paving list? MR. HOOVER: Yeah, we'17 put it on the paving list as an alternate if we do decide to do it, which if we're going to end up doing we're going to have to take a street off the paving to cover the cost. See what it cost and maybe just do one. MR. LOPATKA: Well, actually there's two. There's that one and there's one and there's one over at Miles Street Park. There's a low spot and a curb that's missing in a couple spots and water's running right down to the playground and washing all the mulch away. So there's another spot we have to survey as well. Once we get that survey 11 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 back we can figure out what we need to do with those. MR. NOTARI: So is the plan to get it done this year? MR. HOOVER: Yes. We can't do what Joe got a price for because we'd be putting a catch basin in front of the driveway and then taking the water from one side of the road, putting it on the other side of the road, put it into an empty lot. If they ever sell that lot, then we'd have to dig the road back up again. It's kind of silly. That's why we decided to survey it, get it on the paving list for this year. MR. NOTARI: Thank you. One more thing. I had a complaint about a flag on Miles Street from a veteran that it's worn and discolored. Can we get a new one? MS. BARTOLETTI: We always change it in the spring. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Then you went back down again. MR. SOKOLOWSKI: Yes. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: What is the current condition with the magistrate? ATTY. RINALDI: He appealed that. We filed that complaint. He's got 20 days to answer it. The answer's probably due, sO C can send him a ten day notice. MR. Every day he's working we should give him a citation. MR. SOKOLOWSKI: We cited him for the three : he had a truckload there. Obviously he's working. MR. HOOVER: But that white Mercedes is parked there every day. MR. SOKOLOWSKI: That's the secretary. MR. HOOVER: The computer's on at night, so you can see it at night. I go by, there's her white car parked right : he should be fined. Give him a citation every single day for him being there until she's not there and nothing's going on and we don't cite him. But the only way that's going to stop : these two people are putting up with this for over a year and their property is still the rains are going to come eventually. They're going to start getting water in their basement or wherever on their property and it's going to come down to the borough. That's just my thoughts. ATTY. RINALDI: Has anybody heard anything from the engineer? Did he submit plans yet? MR. SOKOLOWSKI: Not yet. He was here last week. He gave me an application for change of use but never submitted any plans for it. MR. LOPATKA: I haven't gotten anything. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Mike, keep your eye on him every day, like Councilman Hoover said. Take a ride by. If he's in the office or she's in the office stop in and give him a citation. MR. SOKOLOWSKI: I can't stop on the property. We were there. He gets right in my face. CHIEF DUBERNAS: He refuses to sign them anyway. We actually have a copy of it. MR. He said that he's supposed to have everything together within a week or SO. That's been three weeks now. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Mike, keep citing him if they're doing work there. Bill, we're going to have to wait to hear from you? ATTY. RINALDI: Yes. I'11 take care of it. We can chat about it in executive. MR. BUTLER: We're going to cite them even if her car is there? MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: I'm in agreement with citing him every time someone's in that building that's not supposed to be. But how do we know someone's in the building if we can't get in the building? CHIEF DUBERNAS: She sits right in front. I have it on body cam. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: So you can tell someone's in there without going on the property? CHIEF DUBERNAS: Oh, yeah. MR. BARTOLETTI: It's the one who purchased it in the sheriff's sale, and he put plans together and then basically never really followed up. It's junk. MR. SOKOLOWSKI: There's no windows or doors. MR. BUTLER: He started working on it and stopped because he couldn't get the flood insurance. MR. SOKOLOWSKI: You have to be eight foot above whatever the grade. MS. BARTOLETTI: There's nothing going on. He did have a plan. MR. BUTLER: Right now it's beyond repair. MS. BARTOLETTI: Now it has to be torn down. I don't remember. RINALDI: We have a new code. You can use it. MR. BUTLER: These kids start hanging around there somebody's going to get hurt. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Dave, can you get together with Mike and go check out, see how the structure is, see if it's condemnable. MS. BARTOLETTI: I don't think it's a question. There's weeds growing through whatever was left of the structure. MR. NOTARI: So if we condemn it, what's the next step after that? Do we knock it down? ATTY. A1l the no parking here to corner are all in place. t talked to Councilwoman Shotwell the other day. She sent a message to the high school teams about the park. First time nobody was parking there. NOTARI: So on the topic of no parking on that side, which I think is great because it creates space driving through there. It's a safety hazard when there's double park. I don't know if we have already given tickets out at some point. CHIEF DUBERNAS: Saturday. MR. NOTARI: But all that being said, I've gotten a Tot of chatter about the rules of the park. That means people with dogs, kids riding bikes and scooters through, and I've been asked would the officers please pay attention to the park rules. Typical wiseguys. CHIEF DUBERNAS: Two kids were really wiseguys. I C don't know who they were. Last week there was, like, 25 or 30 of them playing basketball there. MS. AVVISATO: Adults? CHIEF DUBERNAS: Yeah. MR. NOTARI: So if we just enforce the rules of the park. CHIEF DUBERNAS: Ever since the incident when all those guys that were there, the clientele, we've been checking it every half-hour because of that reason. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Chief, once school is out we're going to have the shift down there? CHIEF DUBERNAS: Yeah, we'11 have one. They'11 rotate. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: We'17 have an extra shift and we can put an officer down there. At our last meeting I had mentioned that we were going to pass a resolution tonight, but we're going to hold that until May. It's for some grant applications. So we can save those until May. That's all I have. Just an executive tonight as well. I have a couple things to go over. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Anybody have any questions for Marylynn? MR. KOMENSKY: Update us on the senior center? MS. BARTOLETTI: Yes. So we are still working with CDBG and they have asked me to try to basically hook up with the Lackawanna County Area on Aging, sO I put in a couple calls. I didn't really get anywhere. Then today I spoke to the director, who's Sarah McDonald, who is going to get back to me by the end of the week to get the process started to be able to hook 26 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 our senior centers with the Area on Aging, with their programs and everything. Then we'11 be able to share with them. That puts us in a different standing with CDBG due to the fact that some rules have changed on how they fund senior centers. It's something that has recently happened and is kind of our hold up right now. The funding for us is there. We just have to check off a couple more boxes. So that's in good shape. ATTY. RINALDI: I missed one thing. It wasn't in my report. I handed you this afternoon to add to the list the re-approval of the minor subdivision that was approved twice in prior years but the developer never recorded the plan. I double-checked with the county last week. So we actually still have an original plan here. I'm just going to ask that it be re-approved and re-signed by the current officers sO that the recorder of deeds office will accept it. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Mare, anything else? MS. Joe can probably help you with the scenario on what we decided to do. Obviously, you know we decided to get it fixed. MR. LENCESKI: It's at Northeast Hydraulics right now. I called them yesterday. I'm waiting for a phone call. The wiring harness went for the controls to move the boom in and out. MR. I understand you guys checked into different things on what it's going to cost us. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Yes. Past year or two we looked into it. RUSSELL RINALDI: I understand that and I feel bad for those people, but we weren't discussing raising anyone's taxes in the borough. MS. WILK: Well, tax bases are going up. I just got my notice with the assessment. People can't afford this. You know it and I know it. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: I agree with you. I wouldn't want to raise taxes. MS. WILK: We have to start being frugal around here. What you do need to spent money on is your police department on this gang-related issues that are going on. But then, of course, our pride and joy. It's a shame what's going on. I was talking to somebody up in Taylor. They're getting gang-related members from Scranton trying to get in there. When they can't get in there they set the garbage on fire outside. I'm not making this up. Michelle, I think you heard about it. Something has to be done. We cannot let these people come in here and start shooting up the place. Our kids are needing to be reprimanded in some type. Between the first chief who was here and Mr. Dubernas, whoever came to this council from any department, we've never turned them down for anything they've asked for. If it was training courses, equipment. Anything he ever asked us for we've always approved. MS. Anytime the chief has come to us with an ask, I want to say 90 percent, if not a hundred percent of the time we've given him. Sometimes it takes a little while but we've given him what he's asked for. MS. WILK: There has to be some training because there's two gangs up in Scranton. MR. NOTARI: I'm sure there's more than two. MS. BARTOLETTI: Our police chief can tell you how much training our staff have gone through recently. They've gone through a tremendous amount of training. We have two officers from our department that are assigned to the gang task force. MR. NOTARI: You keep saying the youth center. It's not : we're not looking for a youth center. We're looking for a community center that will be open to everybody in our community. Seniors, youth, young adults. Let me finish. You're throwing numbers out there. We have never done an exact study. Everybody here, I think, has thrown out a number of what they thought it would cost. We've never gone ahead and developed a plan. I believe there are some on this council who are going to take those steps, but we have never come up with : any price that you hear in the community is it's a price that's pulled out of the air. MS. To put a half-decent building up it will cost about $5 million. Think about it. This is not 1958 or 1980. Things are expensive. MR. NOTARI: I'm one person on council that thinks our community is worth $5 million to put a building up. MS. WILK: If you got it, it's fine. But not on the backs of taxpayers. MR. NOTARI: Again, nobody : Councilman Rinaldi is right. Nobody said a word about raising taxes when they discussed a community center. If we're going to do that project we will find the money somewhere without raising taxes. MS. WILK: You can't even get anything free anymore. CHIEF DUBERNAS: We just got a $100,000 grant for safety stuff. MS. WILK: I'm talking more than a hundred thousand. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Thanks, Mrs. Wilk. Maryann Adamiak? MS. My mother passed away in October. Now the property is mine. I have two tenants. My husband now pays me and the lawn care pays me rent. On March 28th two volunteer firemen, Mr. Stull and Mr. Shaffer, showed up unannounced at CDM Distributors, who have been in business 51 years in that location, burst through the doors, uninvited, and literally raided the place. Pulled the refrigerator off the wall to look at the receptacles, asked about occupancy permits, sales tax. They had nothing from the borough saying that they were covered in insurance. Went in restricted areas. We were open for business with customers, and they were harassing my two boys to the point they called me after they left. When they left : we have cameras everywhere. Outside the door the two gentlemen stood, and the one said to the other oh, I'm going to be on vacations when this place blows. Are you setting my 37 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 building on fire? What are you doing? We have storage containers that have no heat, no electricity and they're padlocked and no flammables in them. So if they go up it's arson. SoI called : my kids called me, hysterical. My husband, he doesn't hear well. I said -- like, I explained. I called Mr. Stull, he wasn't available. I spoke with Christopher Shaffer, who I got met with attitude and I'11 leave it at that. He told me there was minor infractions, and there were. I said okay. He said these are volunteer : he said borough council requested them and approved them. Two days later, on April 4th --I I spoke with him April 2nd. April 4th they show up at my property again with the code enforcement officer and the building inspector. Ih have no complaints about the building. The building's there since 1956. My parents bought the building from the : bought the property from the coal company in 1956. We are there 68 years. They burst in 38 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 with : we had no building permits. Why were they there? They're borough employees. Why were they there? Because, I believe, it was a show of force. I - think it was retaliation. Then they went to my next tenant, walked in uninvited, and started telling him things that were wrong with his business. I went to three attorneys, local attorneys. You violated my Fourth Amendment right by barging into my building. And for retaliating, because I questioned him, you violated my First Amendment right. So my question is why did the building inspector and the code enforcement officer show back up at my building? Why did these people just barge in uninvited, with no insurance, and saying that they're employees of the borough? And what did he mean by my building, he's going to be on vacation when it blows up? I just need answers. Ia also contacted the Institute for Justice, it's a non-profit, and they have a Fourth Amendment project in place. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Well, first of all, this is the first time I'm hearing this. I'm completely unaware of anything that took place, why it took place or how. MR. PARKER: Ms. Bartoletti's father's business. They were in Valley Auto. They tried to do George Dunbar's. They did -- the guy's name is Dave on : the car lot. I know his name is Dave, on Lonesome Road. Johnson? It's the car lot on the corner. They raided his place, too. But during business. They didn't make an appointment. They just walked in and started tossing things, and to then come back with these two gentlemen that are with the borough? I'm upset, Russell. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Well, secondly, I was going to continue. I would just say about your incident, first I'm hearing about it. I was going to ask him to explain to us, just how you explained, what took place. Again, this is the first we're hearing of it. MS. ADAMIAK: There was no appointment. They barged in. It was like us going to your restaurant and throwing people out to look at receptacles. We were open for business with customers. My occupancy permit is none of their business. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Do you mind if Iask Mr. Stull behind you? MS. ADAMIAK: Go right ahead. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Because you or him would have a story that would explain this, sO that's why I'd like to ask him. Bill, if you could take us through it. MR. STULL: Well, as you know we've been doing inspections of all businesses in town since 2000. Okay? A17 reports are given to you of our code enforcement, along with the occupants of the building. If they 41 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 choose to send it out if they're a property owner there well to do sO. That does not need the fire department or the code enforcement. Okay? Really, I only had one place that the owner wasn't there that asked us to come back. We do not barge into a place. MS. ADAMIAK: But you did. MR. STULL: Excuse me, ma'am, were you there? MS. ADAMIAK: You're on camera. MR. STULL: Were you there when I was talking with your sons and your husband? Were you there? MS. ADAMIAK: No. MR. STULL: Okay. So as always, we go in an official fire department vehicle. The uniform I'm wearing now is considered fire department class B uniform. That's what we wear when we go on inspections. We walk in, we hand them a business card, and we explain to them what we're there for. Her husband : well, I'm sorry, her son was explained to we're here to do a life safety inspection. That was it. Okay? I wouldn't have let you in without a warrant. MR. STULL: They seemed very cordial tous. MS. ADAMIAK: Because I raised them right. MR. STULL: My parents raised me right, too. Part of the international fire code that this council adopted back in 2008 or whatever it was, section 104.3, right of entry underneath the international fire code. "When it is necessary to make an inspection to enforce the provisions of this code" : okay : "the fire code official has reasonable cause and belief that existing in the buildings on or any premises any condition or violation of this code making the building or premises unsafe, dangerous or hazardous." Do you have hazardous material laying in :- MS. ADAMIAK: Yes. MR. STULL: Okay. Thank you. It's actually a 30 by 50 building. Okay? If anybody ever drove past it. There's empty 55 gallon drums outside. I guess they use that for storage, which is fine. But that's a concern for the fire department, what is in there. We went in there, we did our walk around. At no time did we trash things, rip a refrigerator : no, we didn't. MS. ADAMIAK: You did move the rerrigerator. MR. STULL: We don't move anything, ma'am. We looked behind it. Your husband, I believe, was the one sitting at the desk. We explained to him that they need to be covered accord to the fire code. Underneath the breaker box you have flammable materials stored there. You cannot have anything within 36 inches. So that was on a report that we gave to them. We explained to her son, her husband many times we are not here to cause trouble. It has the hazmat symbol on it when we're going as first responders. That's our right. It's under the Pennsylvania 1gnt-tO-know. Okay? Storage of hazardous materials. Right now under the NPA section 704 they're in violation for not having the building placarded. Okay? We asked them what was in the storage containers out back. You're son told us well, there is flammable aerosol cans in there. Okay. Well, how much do you have in there? The questions a fire department can ask, we asked. Well, there's a couple skids. Tell me what you have in there. Well, it came out that he said we have about five or six skids, there's a hundred cases on each skid. Quick math, that's over a thousand cans. Okay? I understand there's no electricity going to this unit, there's no heat going to the unit. Our concern was it's all wooded area. You get a brush fire, 45 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 container gets heat on it, fire impinges on it somehow, some way, it can cause a problem. That's all. Code enforcement, I called Joe Supulski because I asked him other questions because he's BIU. We're doing a life safety. We're not building inspectors like he is, to see if there was something missing in the codes. He came down, I have not gotten a report from Joe Supulski. Okay? Mike seen what was in there. You did get a copy of the report. Correct, ma'am? MS. ADAMIAK: Yes. MR. STULL: That was it. There's enough flammable liquids in there -- there's enough 55 gallon containers, 30 gallon poly containers inside that building, okay, that is concern to the fire department. MR. HOOVER: What made you go to this particular building that particular day? MR. STULL: On that particular day? Nothing. This is something, like I said, we've been doing since 2020. Okay? There's probably, maybe another 25, 30 businesses in 46 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 town that we haven't hit. We probably did 200, 250 businesses in the last four years. MR. HOOVER: When you notify : obviously you don't notify the people when you get there. MR. STULL: No. We talked to the people that work in there. Okay? We did find out that they own the company. Like I said, at no time did they ask us to leave. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Bill, not to interrupt, but since you're right there, if you go to a property for an inspection and the owners are there but they're busy and say come back tomorrow, I mean, you could come back tomorrow. Right? You're not just going to say no, it has to be today. MR. STULL: No. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: I would expect that you would work with them. So then my question again, but you already answered it, when you went there they didn't ask you to come back? MR. STULL: No. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: And they did give you permission to come onto the 47 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 property? MR. STULL: Yes. MS. ADAMIAK: They didn't know they could refuse. They didn't know it was voluntary, they didn't know that they could refuse. It was open for business with customers. If you're going to come there was no problem. Everything was fixed that they said. But make an appointment sO we can close. It's like going and raiding your restaurant right now. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Well, that was my question. If they came to my business while I was open what I would have said to them as a business owner, legal property business owner, I would have said I'm open for business, can you please come back, and he's telling me that he would have said to me yes. MS. ADAMIAK: But they didn't know they could do that. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Okay. MS. ADAMIAK: If it's official business and they come in : MR. I'm just saying he did ask for permission to come onto the property and they granted him it. Correct? MR. STULL: Yes. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: If they're the owners of the property or manager of the property at that time they give : can't force anyone, for that instance, permission to come on the property. I mean, that's an okay from an owner or a manager to say yeah, sure, come on in. You're saying that they didn't know they could have asked them to leave, but in any instance they didn't ask them to leave, whether they knew or not. MS. ADAMIAK: No appointment, no nothing. When Marylynn asked them not to go Whitman's, to make an appointment, they showed up anyway. MS. BARTOLETTI: Let me explain what she's bringing up. So when this whole thing took place last Thursday Mrs. Adamiak had called me, left as message and then I called her back, and also the other business, 49 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 Mr. Whitman, has called as well, I called him back. Then I call Bill just to see what was going on sO that I would have a better understanding of the scenario. Then Mrs. Adamiak came to the building to discuss it further. After we were finished I called the public safety committee : sO Michelle, Jimmy and Mike -- just to let them know what was taking place, and what we were planning on doing was putting together a public safety committee meeting sO that we can discuss further with the firemen just to have a better understanding on what it is that they are trying to accomplish and how they're trying to accomplish it to see if we should be doing something differently or maybe letting the public know as businesses. Then I discussed it with Bill just to try to see what the borough should be doing to maybe help the public to understand that it's something that -- what they're trying to do is something positive, or maybe there's a little bit of a different way to let people know this is for your benefit. 50 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 This is to make the firemen's job a little bit easier in the event if there ever is a problem -- a fire, God forbid or a vehicle runs into a building or : sO that they as the firemen know what's in the building and they have a record of it sO they know how they're going to handle that particular problem faster. So we were in the process of trying tos set up a meeting to go forward to be able to get everybody on the same page. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: I agree. Mrs. Adamiak, I was going to say : and you can say more and Mr. Stull if you have to. But I know Mr. Stull a very long time. Mr. Stull is very experienced, dedicated and there's a lot of work involved as a fireman. Ican say that : or I believe in my heart and I can say that when he does these inspections : and to echo off Marylynn : he does them for the safety of the property owner, he does them for the safety of the borough residents in the area around and also for the firemen there. I mean, his intentions and whoever's intentions from the 51 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 fire department who came to inspect your place were nothing out of the good, wellness and safety of everybody involved. MS. ADAMIAK: What did they mean on being on vacation when this place blows? MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: He said that? MS. ADAMIAK: I have it on camera. - have it on video. I have cameras everywhere on that property. MR. STULL: Yes, there is. MS. ADAMIAK: There's cameras everywhere. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: You're telling me that he said that? MS. ADAMIAK: I don't know if it was he or Mr. Shaffer. MR. STULL: I don't recognize it. MS. ADAMIAK: I'm going to be on vacation when this place blows. That scares me. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: You're telling me that your cameras have voice recording on them? MR. STULL: So that scares you. STULL: So another part of that is next door Mr. Whitman, I think it is, sO that Thursday when we went there with code enforcement and Joe Supulski Mr. Whitman was talked to and, again, I explained to him what we're doing. He actually gave a tour of his place but come back on Friday. Okay? That's what we did. We went back there Friday. Okay? Knocked on the door, nobody answered. There was a ring camera. We pressed the button, nobody answered. It is literally one minute from their place to the fire station. By the time I got to the fire station Marylynn was already calling me, what am I doing there. We were told to come back on Friday. I don't know what's going on over there, I do not need to know what's going on over there. Our thing is as the fire department, 53 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 we want to look at that building to see what's in there. If anybody drives by there you'11 see everything on the outside of that building. Okay? You have concerns. We have concerns as the fire department. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: What is the address of the building you're talking about? MR. STULL: I don't know what the other address is. MS. ADAMIAK: It's 550. It's my mother's house. My mother's house is connected to the building, and it was my father's business. The building that my husband is in was a mill. My father was a miller. That first building that's attached to my mom's home was a woodworking mill shop, and I have a small building with a dry kiln to dry lumber and make his moldings. MR. KOMENSKI: Billy, Chief, sO you said in the year 2000 you started these inspections? MR. STULL: Correct. MR. KOMENSKI: And how many businesses in the borough have you 54 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 completed, 200? MR. STULL: It has to be close to that. It's 200, 250. We only have a handful left. Maybe another 20, 30. MS. AVVISATO: I think you did my office maybe two years ago. MR. STULL: A17 I know is that we've been doing this. We went to Golden Technologies, we did that. That's manufacturing up there. By the time we left up there after their life safety things it cost them tens of thousands of dollars to redo their electrical up there. Not their electrical panels, but daisy chaining extension cords together, having power strips with sewing machines plugged into them that you couldn't do. They spent a lot of money up there. Unimax down in the old Panel Prints building, we did a walk through there the first time. A11 of his emergency lights were out. A lot of his electrical outlets were not covered, stuff like that. He spent numerous dollars, in the thousands also, to get that up to code. After he brought in 55 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 (inaudible) down there, we are working with him now to get a fire alarm system in there. He put a sprinkler system in there but it does not notify all the employees that are there that there's some kind of incident going on in that building. We talked to the safety division down in New Jersey, and they are working diligently with the fire department to get that done. We accessed $150,000 to $180,000 to put into that. That's all through our life safety things that we've been doing. Again, Marylynn, your family, we went through there. Mr. Notari, your brother's place, we went through there. So it's nothing out of the ordinary what we're doing. Finishing up the life safety things, we're also implementing for : our computer systems in all our vehicles now is a preplan - I'17 just take this one for an example. We go out, we take a measurement of the building. We know there's hazardous materials in there. That building has an icon on it for hazardous materials. I get our preplan of their building, it tells me everything that's going on in their building. They have hazards? Yes. Tells me the entry doors, tells me the size of the building, it tells me where the electrical panel is in that building, it tells me if there's gas service to that building. That's what a preplan does. It's not only our fire department. As many of you know, back in the '80s there were four fire departments in town. We're down to one now. We had this conversation a couple years back that this is the last hoorah for us. The next five to ten years you might have a combination fire department in this town. MR. HOOVER: So does every borough do this? MR. STULL: I know for a fact we do it. Greenwood does the same thing that we do. We are a very proactive fire department. But you still need to have the proper documentation of your business. Any kind of hazardous materials that are in there, your building has to be placard for NFDA standard 704. Look that up online. ADAMIAK: We don't have the capability for e-mail down there. MR. STULL: Ma'am, I'm sorry, but that's not how your son explained it to me. He said can we send it to you e-mail, I said absolutely. MS. ADAMIAK: We don't have that capability. It would be a lot of work for me. I know he was going through them. We have until April 5th or something - May 4th before they come back. But I don't know what - the attorney said don't let them back in without a warrant. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Well, whatever : MR. STULL: One other thing, too. Mr. Joe Supulski, which is BIU, he's the one that inspects for code violations. Okay? I know hazardous material. He might know something more that I don't know. Okay? I couldn't tell you that those have to be stored here and flammable materials have to be stored someplace. That's what the man gets paid for. That's why he's a third-party inspector. That's why Pennsylvania, back in 2008, all the municipalities went with a third-party inspector. We brought Mike Sokolowski in. He is code enforcement for the borough of 01d Forge. Okay?
