I have to first apologize for being a little bit late. We had an executive session prior to our meeting and also for what took place before. We appreciate everybody bearing with us. Purpose of our meeting will be to go toour department heads, we'17 hear their reports, any questions anyone has for them from our members. We'11 go down the table, hear from our mayor, our solicitor and our council members. As the chief said at the beginning of the meeting, we have a public sign-in sheet. If anyone from the borough would like to sign the sheet and address us at the end of the meeting we'17 give you a few minutes. With that said, we're going to move 4 right to our first housekeeping motion, and that's going to be a motion to approve the minutes of the prior meetings. FEBBO: Again, for sales and service. I'm talking about parts, motors laying on the side, and the Gilchrist property, again, next door. ATTY. RINALDI: I didn't know any of that. Nobody told me he was putting stuff back on Gilchrist's. Gilchrist just came in with a plan and when I had checked prior it was Gilchrist on that property. A camper. I did check on that. MR. Schuback's supposed to take it. That's why it's cleared out in back, the fence is cut along the alleyway. It's cleared out sO Schuback can start taking equipment out. That's what he told me. MR. FEBBO: That been eight years on that property. Get those cars out of there. MR. FEBBO: Mike, the contracting company said that they will not remove the structure? MR. SOKOLOWSKI: The mortgage company, right, but we actually met with Bi7l the other day and he went over quite a few of these properties and we're getting stuff drawn up to send to them. MR. FEBBO: Once again, I'11 say what I said at the work session. I believe that that house should be inspected to see if it's livable. I really believe that house should be condemned based on the neighbors telling me about rodents in the house itself, all mold, feces. Actually they sent a guy down, an engineer, to check that and the other property up on Main Street. That's what we're working on right now. To get inside we'17 have to get permission. MR. I see that you have noted that the project won't be bid until spring of 2024. MR. LOPATKA: No. We sent them everything and I called, and she said that they didn't have a project for this year. They don't have it documented as a project. So she's saying they can't approve it : MR. NOTARI: Until next year. MR. LOPATKA: Well, they're going to send a resolution within the next month sO that could be passed and the funds are allocated in December. MR. BUTLER: Was that not included in the whole : MR. LOPATKA: It wasn't part of this, but I know as we move forward that was the next project, and I know that Marylynn had told them that it the next project. For whatever reason it didn't get listed that way on their paperwork which they need because the funding comes from the state. So they need to designate it as a project. MR. CHIEF DUBERNAS: Yeah, just a couple things. So this Saturday from 8:00 in the morning until probably 6:00, 6:30 is the Junior Blue Devils cheering competition. There's 18 schools. So there's going to be quite a few buses and all traveling up West Grace Street and parking at either the elementary school or the high school as their designated parking area. There's about six designated parking areas throughout the borough for fans and family members. You guys all received my text message about the grant item. Once they're lettered we'11 post and thank all the representatives that helped us. Last, I know the mayor touched on it at the work section when I wasn't here, but I just want to give a big shout out to Kim Buggy for doing our NCIC audit. It went extremely well, and the trooper we had from Montoursville that comes and checks all of 18 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 our NCICS, she actually told us that she wishes our department could be a role model for the rest of the statement. They do the work for the Abington COG, for Comcast, which I think they have a meeting coming up on October 5th with the COG. Our member might want to go to that. That's for Comcast. Their contract is up next year. RCN is not involved with any of the other boroughs or townships in the COG, sO this is a standalone proposal to just negotiate that agreement for RCN for the borough of 01d Forge. They don't plan on going with anybody else in the Abington Cog. It think you pointed out a couple different things in there. Fees you could get for the borough that weren't in there. So that's his proposal to negotiate. There's a resolution in your packets to purchase a backhoe, a Case 580 20 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 Dackhoe/loader. The specs are attached and the price is attached to the resolution. There's a stipulation to approve a tax appeal of Fred and Annette Rinaldi that was approved by the school district and signed by their solicitor. So the resolution was authorized and executed to stipulate to that resolution. Idid speak with Bill with regards to the resolution for fire truck drivers. He's going to get together with Marylynn and work out those details. You have a resolution for terminating the BIU contract as the sole provider of third-party agency inspection services. They need a 30 day notice, sO there's a resolution for that sO you can entertain one or more third-party agencies at your next meeting. I'm here to talk about a bus stop here. There used to be a bus stop right in front of the borough building where you can wait for the bus and get out of the rain but now it's gone. I'm wondering if something could be done about that. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: The bus stop is still there. You're talking about the little glass case? MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: Past Agostini Bakery. MS. MONACELLI: It doesn't end down there. We live down there. It ends on Drake's Lane. That's where 01d Forge ends. We get nothing. We feel Tike we don't even belong to 01d Forge. MR. RUSSELL RINALDI: What do you mean you get nothing? MS. MONACELLI: Did you see the flags that are on the poles? That means the rest is the borough. So it's their responsibility to knock the weeds down. Not around properties. I'm coming out of Lonesome Road and I have to stop there. I have to pull out almost on Main Street to see if any cars are coming down because the weeds are this high. I'm short. Saturday my handyman came to cut my grass.
