264 THE BOROUGH OF NEW EAGLE 157 MAIN STREET NEW EAGLE, PA 15067 New Eagle Borough Council met on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in the Council Chambers, Municipal The meeting was called to order by Council PresidentJ. Fine, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll call was taken by Kimberly Koontz, Borough Secretary, there being a quorum present the meeting Building 157 Main Street, New Eagle, Pennsylvania 15067. was called to order. Present:. J. Fine, S. Bobnar, B. Williams, T. Chaney, D. Walters Others Present: Mayor C. Fine, Solicitor T. Berggren, Sgt. R. Lenzi Pastor David. Johnson from the Riverview Baptist Church addressed Council for permission to have a! 5k run/walk int the Borough on October 17th. Pastor. Johnson mapped out the route and presented it. Due to safety issues with Routes 88 and 837 the plan as presented could not be approved. He will submit Minutes from the August 11, 2020 was presented to Council for approval. Motion to approve the minutes was made by B. Williams and seconded by D. Walters. Motion was carried by unanimous call of Motion to approve bills in the amount of $46,810.97 (Bill List A 43,894.69, Bill List B $2916.38) wasr made by S. Bobnar and seconded by T. Chaney. Motion was carried by unanimous call oft the roll by. S.E Bobnar reported on the monthly Public' Works Department report. Thet following task were completed. Grass cutting and weed whacking of the Borough owned properties and streets. Main Street curbs were repainted yellow. The catch basin at Sycamore and Monroe Street was rebuilt. The concession stands and the call box at Maple Avenue ball field was cleaned. A: section of pipe in the concession stand was replaced. Several calls were made to companies for salt storage bin quotes. Bobnar made the motion to contract the basins on Main Street and Howard and Main Street and Marion for the cost no to exceed $11,000 done by El Grande. B. Williams seconded the motion. Motion was Unfinished Business: An animal control officer is needed inside the Borough. Secretary Kimberly Koontz S. Bobnar made the motion to contract Patty Mowry for $85.00 an hour on an as needed basis for budgeting purposes. D. Walters seconded the motion. Motion was carried by unanimous call oft the roll New Business:T. Chaney made the motion to accept the nonexclusive contract with Pittsburgh Premier Baseball to use the Maple Avenue ballfield. S. Bobnar seconded the motion.
