250 New Eagle Borough Council met on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in the Council Chambers, Municipal The meeting was called to order by Council President J. Fine, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Letters of intent were read by the Borough Secretary Kimberly Koontz. It was motioned by B. Williams and seconded by J. Fine to appoint Dennis Walters to the open: seat on Council. Motion was carried by unanimous call oft the roll by the Secretary. D. Walters was sworn in by SolicitorT. Berggren. Building, 1571 Main Street, New Eagle, Pennsylvania. Visitors Michelle Dehosse spoke on behalf of the Monongahela Chamber of Commerce regarding upcoming George Eckert presented a check to Mayor C. Fine on behalf oft the Mon Valley Area Revitalization Motion was made by T. Chaney and seconded by S. Bobnar to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. The backhoe is still out for repair for leaking seals. A12-inch 31 tooth bucket was purchased in the amount of $375.00, this will make it more efficient when digging in small and narrow places. The 2008 F550 was sent to Eddie Volker's for repair of the brakes and rotors. The Borough garage is being painted, floors, walls and doors. Dover and Keenan were cold patched. Chess Street, Main Street and Walnut were patched.. J. Miller requested the purchase ofal blade for the Bobcat that can be used for snow removal and paving. He also requested the purchase of two heaving lifting chains. S. Bobnar made the motion and was seconded by B. Williams for the purchase oft these items. Motion New Business Solicitor T. Whenever it comes to the attention of the Mayor or the Police that any violation, as defined in Section. 294-2 oft this chapter, exists in the Borough, the Borough Secretary shall be notified, and notice shall be given oft the violation by either the Mayor or the Police by tagging the vehicle with a removal notice and by notifying in writing the owner of the vehicle and/or the property owner or occupant of the property where the abandoned or junked vehicle be removed and properly disposed of with 10 days after the issuance oft the notice. In addition to tagging the vehicle with ar removal notice, it shall constitute sufficient notice when a copy of the same is posted in a conspicuous place upon the private property on which the vehicle is located, ifany, and duplicate copies are sent by First Class U.S. Mail to the or occupant of the private property, ifo any, at his/her last know address, and also to the owner of the vehicle, if known, at his/her last known address. 251 Motion to accept the first reading of Ordinance 294-4 was made by S. S.E Bobnar spoke on the revitalization of the Maple Avenue ballpark. The field, basketball court and playground has not been used in many years. S.
