256 THE BOROUGH OFI NEW EAGLE 157 MAIN STREET, NEW EAGLE PA: 15067 MEETING MINUTES MAY: 12, 2020 After the April 9, 2020 meeting the Borough of New Eagle Council met in executive session to discuss personnel matters. New Eagle Borough Council met on Tuesday May 12, 2020 via Zoom meeting due to the COVID-19 virus. The meeting was called to order by Council President. J. Fine, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll call was taken by Borough Secretary K. Koontz, there being a quorum present the meeting was called to order. Present: J. Fine, S. Bobnar, T. Chaney, B. Williams, D. Walters Others Present: Mayor C. Fine, Solicitor T. Berggren, Police Chief K. Harris Minutes from the March 10, 2020 meeting was presented to Council for approval. Motion was made by B. Williams and seconded by T. Chaney. Motion was carried by unanimous call of the roll by the Minutes from the special meeting on April 9, 2020 was presented to Council for approval. Motion was bys S. Bobnar and seconded by B. Williams. Motion was carried by unanimous call of the roll by the Motion was made by T. Chaney and seconded by B. Williams to approve bills (Bill list A $77,053.07, Bill list B$ $$14,710.18). Motion to approve bills was carried by unanimous call of the roll by the Secretary. J.Miller gave the monthly report for the Public Works Department. Repairs were made to Oakwood Avenue due to it being washed out. Curb painting was done on Chess Street. Holes were cold patched inside the Borough. All Borough fleet equipment had oil changes. Maple Avenue park had part of the fence damaged bya a fallen tree. The fence was repaired, and the tree removed. Summer projects are D. Walters inquired about the tires to be removed from the Walnut Street area. He would like to know if they are going to be removed.. J. Miller said the plan is to remove all the debris and tires from that area. Unfinished Business: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic S. Bobnar and T. Chaney were unable to meet with the Engineer to discuss plans for the Maple Avenue ball field. The donation to the Community Action Group for the Easter Egg Hunt was returned to the Borough due to the cancellation of the hunt. Work New Business: There will be no extensions to the Property Tax penalty due date. A motion was made by S.B Bobnar and seconded by B. Williams to add D.) Walters to the Community Bank and PLGIT accounts for Secretary.
