Fine, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Bobnar, B. Williams, D. Walters, T. Chaney Others Present: Solicitor T. Berggren, Mayor C. Fine, Police Chief K. Harris Minutes from the December 15, 2020 was presented to Council for approval. Motion to approve the minutes was made by T. Chaney and seconded by B. Williams. Motion was carried by unanimous call of Motion to approve bills in the amount of $50,231.46 (Billl list A $15,111.63, Billl list B $35,119.83) was presented to Council for approval. Motion was made by B. Williams and seconded by D. Walters. Motion S. Bobnar reported on the Public' Works Department. The pond had a main drainage pipe that has been 1 temporarily replaced. Due to the weather aj permanent fix will have to wait until spring. One of the Fleet vehicles has been taken to C. Harper for warranty repair. Cones and saws were purchased, 75 ton of salt was ordered to replace what was used in December. A1 temporary tarp was placed on the: salt shed, this will only last about six months. The backhoe continues to leak hydraulic fluid and has issues with the arm. The Veteran banners have been taken down; repairs will be made by the VFW. Many oft the banners are deteriorating, residents should be made aware andi ift they choose tol have them returned to: T.Chaney reported on Borough Property. The Maple Avenue Ball Field had a water break in the Solicitor T. Berggren reported on the damage done to Eagle Lane due to the new construction home build by. J. Sala. Schumacher homes has been put on notice by certified letter that they will be responsible for the repairs that have to be made to road. S. Gibson, Borough Engineer wasi in the Borough and evaluated the road, het feels it will cost about $40,000 to complete the repairs. It was decided we would wait until the home construction is finished to do the repairs. Unfinished Business: Motion- Based upon final review of the bid from Big's-Sanitation by the Solicitor, and his failure to approve such bid due to Big's-Sanitation: failure to bid Alternate #1 and the Solicitor's determination that Alternate #1 is the only viable option for the Borough that can be approved, a Motion to reject the bid from Big's-Sanitation for the collection and disposal of garbage and rubbish in the Borough of New Eagle. All of the provisions oft this Chapter 253 shall apply to alll landlords of property which is leased to persons for residential use, including, but notl limited to, said landlords being responsible for the payment of all Municipal Waste collection fees charged. for the collection of Municipal Waste from the property that they own, regardless of whether such property is leased to other individuals.
