284 THE BOROUGH OF NEW EAGLE 157 MAIN STREET NEW EAGLE, PA: 15067 Prior to the Council meeting on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, the New Eagle Borough Council met in executive session to discuss the following: 1. Legal matter regarding real estate property 2. Possible liability fort the Borough regarding drainage issue 3. Legal issue regarding ownership of property The Borough of New Eagle Council met onl Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at the New! Eagle Borough Municipal Building, 157 Main! Street, New Eagle PA 15067. The meeting was called to order by President J.F Fine, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll call was taken byt the Borough Secretary, Kimberly Koontz, there being a quorum present the meeting was called to order. Present: J.F Fine, S. Bobnar, B. Williams, D. Walters, T. Chaney Others Present: Mayor C. Fine, Solicitor T. Berggren, Police Chief K. Harris Visitor: Pastor David Johnson of the Riverview Baptist Church. He presented to Council the 5k race scheduled for October gth at 9:00. Minutes from the. June 8, 2021, meeting was presented to Council for approval. Motion was madel by B. Williams. S. Bobnar abstained Motion to approve bills in the amount of $42,937.33 (Bill list A $5012.03, Billl list B $37925.30). Motion was made by T. Chaney and Public Works Supervisor. J. Miller gave the monthly report for the department. Assisted with the New Eagle Sewage Authority in the excavation of al bad shut off valve at the plant. A high-water volume leak on Howard Street near the Garage was investigated. It was determined" tol be an old water valve. The valve was capped off. Grass cutting continued through outt the Borough. Reviewed the paving projects on 3rd Avenue, 4th Avenue and Vine Street with members of Council for repair and paving. Excavation ofa a ditch on Mulberry Street from Robinson: Street to Pine Street in conjunction with Norfolk Southern Railroad to open the ditch line up for water flowa and removal of high vegetation. Multiple curbs will need replaced on 3rd Avenue, Wood Street, Lincoln Alley and 7th Avenue. Excavation fors small asphalt patching jobs on Birch. Fleet maintenance continues. The old CAT 416 backhoe was picked up byt the new owner. The 2015 Ford F550 Dump Truck is still out with engine failure. CAT IT24F was taken out of service, the front tilt cylinder which has been leaking was removed from the machine and takent to Hydra Service Inc. for rebuild. The 2008 Ford F550 dumpi truck was taken tol Ultra fromi ther motion, she was not present. D. Walters and. J.F Fine approved. Motion was carried. seconded by S. Bobnar. Motion was carried by unanimous call oft the roll by the Secretary. Industrial LLC for welding of two new tailgate bed latches which are aluminum. Unfinished Business: Motion to approve the Engineer to re-evaluate the 2021 paving projects was tabled. Motion to pay Davies Ford int the amount of $1969.00 for the diagnosing of the engine failure on the 2015 Ford F550 and return the Not further business was discussed, motion to adjourn at 7:55 pm was made by B.
