Tom said just because a car sits for more than 48 hours doesn't meani iti is always abandoned. Some people park their cars ont the lawns and we cannot cite them unless we can prove they have weeds growing though them and/or rodent infestations. Motion carried. COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC- Ms.. Julianna Zarzycki asked Council ifa a message can be put on the website and or in the newspaper to ask residents not to overfill their garbage cans because on windy days she is constantly out cleaning up her neighborhood streets of other people'sgarbage. Vice Pres. Coughlin told her we will puti it on the website and asked Donnal Wall to take care of this matter and Councilor Butczynski thanked. Julianna for picking up the garbage on behalf of her neighbors. Ms. Linda Gullotto asked Council if there is at time stated int the garbage contract with. JP Mascaro thats states what time they can begin picking up garbage. She has heard their trucks at 2:30 am, 3:00 am then 3:30 am another week and she and her husband are not well andi feel that that this is unacceptable. She stated she has called Cityl Hall 51 times and left messages and no one returned her calls. She stated: she talked to Patty after stoppingi in at City Hall and Patty had no idea if a time is in the contract. Attorney Finnegan said there is at time int the contract but he does not have iti in front of him but hei thinks iti is 6:00am. Linda asked Council whoi is in charge up at City Hall and said the employees need customer servicet training. She stated no one could answer my question, they just answered they did not know. Mr. Stanley Cardinelli asked Council what is going on with the vacant buildings downtown and Donna stated not all are vacant, some still have apartments and residents living in them. Donna also stated the Municipal Authorityis responsible for taking ownership of these properties not the City of Nanticoke. Donna stated the Municipal Authority still has not acquired all of the properties. Mr. Cardinelli asked if the nursing home was sold because he heard it fell through. Donna stated: she did not hear that and the project is slated to start in March. Correspondence- None Announcements- Vice President, Kevin Coughlin announced that City Hall will be closed on Monday, January: 21, 2019 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
