RESOLUTIONS RESOLUTION, NO. 2020-30 Al RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF FOUNTAIN HILL, LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYIVLANIA, TERMINATING THE LOCAL DISASTER EMERGENCY WHICH WAS DECLARED AS A RESULT OF THE TRANSMISSION OF ANOVEL CORONAVIRUSICOVID-P,FURSUANTTOSECTION 7501 OF THE. PENNSYLVANIA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SERVICES CODE WHEREAS, the transmission of a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was recognized as a pandemic, and endangered the health, safety and welfare of a substantial number of persons residing in the Borough of Fountain Hill, and WHEREAS, on March 6, 2020, the Governor of Pennsylvania issued a proclamation of disaster emergency throughout the Commonwealth as ai result of thet transmission of COVID-19, which urged the governing bodies and executive officers of all political subdivisions affected by the emergency to act as necessary to meet the current threatened to create problems greater in scope than thel Borough may be able to resolve; and exigencies as legally authorized under the Covemorsproclamation: and WHEREAS, on or about! March 20, 2020, the Mayor declared al local disaster emergency: int the Borough, and Borough Council subsequently ratified thel Mayor's declaration and consented to an extension oft the declaration until July 6, WHEREAS, Section 7501 of thel Pennsylvania Emergency Management Services Code, as amended, 35P.S. $7501, permits Borough Council to terminate the declaration oft the existence ofal local disaster emergency; and WHEREAS, withl Lehigh County nowi int the COVID-194 Green) Phase as designated by the Governor ofPennsylvania, Borough Council believes it appropriate to now terminate the declaration of the existence of a local disaster NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Borough Council of the Borough of Fountain Hill that the declaration of the existence ofal local disaster emergency: relating to COVID-19, first made on or about March 20, 2020: is hereby terminated pursuant to Section 7501 oft thel Pennsylvania Emergency Management Services Code, as 2020; and emergency. ofJuly 6, 2020.
