BOROUGH OF FOUNTAIN HILL COUNCIL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES October 24, 2018 7P.M. Council members present were: Ms. Jordan, Mr. Atkinson, Mr. Blatt, Mayor Gifford, Mr. Trabel, and Ms. Halleman. Also, in attendance were Anthony Branco (Executive Administrator), Cordula Voges (Finance Officer), Chief Bachert, Jason Quarry (Public Works Supervisor), a Bethlehem Press representative, and guests. Mr. Trotter and Mr. Rapp were absent. Mr. Blatt, the Vice President ofCouncil, called the meeting to order and asked for everyone to rise Mr. Blatt presented the draft minutes oft the September 19, 2018 and October 1, 2018 meetings to for the Pledge to the Flag. Council and asked to submit any revisions to Ms. Voges in writing. PRESENTATIONS) Ms. Angela Sinkler, a member oft the Bacchanalia Committee, presented a donation check of $9,000.00 from the 2018 fundraiser to be allocated in the amount ofs $4,500.00 to the recreation Ms. Sinkler and the other Bacchanalia Committee members, Jeff Ferry, Lisa Gangewere, and Marita Augello, offered their continued support for the Fountain Hill Playground fund and also announced that the committee will re-focus on raising funds for food for the Fountain Hill and Lechauweki Fund respectively. Community Elementary School Program. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR - Discussion on Agenda Items Ms. Nanette Muth spoke for her aging mother, Immaculata Paden, on 953 Delaware Avenue. A "No Parking" sign was recently posted on the telephone pole on the back of! her mother's house. Ms. Muth is afraid that she herself, her mother, visitors and home care personnel who rely on the parking space on the back ofthel house, will be fined. Mr. Branco, the Public Works Supervisor and the Police Chiefhad already discussed this issue and informed Ms. Muth that the Borough will further review the issue. ORDINANCES -1 none. Appeals Board (9/18/17) The Borough has not appointed any members to serve on the board of appeals under $ 403.121 - Board of appeals - oft the Uniform Construction Code PA act. As in the past, Salisbury Township offered its building and board to serve Fountain Hill. Fountain Hill Borough would be responsible for any advertising costs and fees. Mayor Gifford asked Mr. Branco for the specific requirements to serve on the UCC Appeals Board and wanted to look fori interested parties. Hometown Hero's Banners - Total Cost $219.00 from Display Sales Mr. Branco informed Council that each Hometown Hero's Banner would cost $219 and would also require PPL1 to: issue permits for use ofits] poles. Mayor Gifford is going to inquire ifSt. Luke's would pay for any "Hometown Hero's Banners". Bacchanalia's offer to purchase 25 Thrill to Live On The Hill banners (tabled from 10/1/2018 meeting) was accepted.
