MINUTES BOROUGH COUNCIL July 3,2023 7P.M.  The Council Meeting was held in-person at Borough Hall. Council members present were: Ms. Jordan, Ms. Johnson, Mr. Rufe, Mr. Trotter, Mr. Blatt, Mr. McCandless, Mr. Trabel and Mayor Johnson. Also in attendance were Jason Quarry (Interim Borough Manager & Public Works Supervisor), Cordula Voges (Finance Director), Keith Zehner (Zoning Officer), Dave Berger  (Solicitor), and guests. Mr. Zovko asked the Public Works department to specify any ofthe cement areas on the pool grounds that will be repaired before the volunteers will start caulking. Mr. Zovko reported that the locker room exterior was painted. To complete the painting ofthe upper locker rooms, gutters, and downspouts more paint would be needed. Mr. Quarry will coordinate the purchase of the paint with the coalition. Three Community Coalition members are interested in taking online courses in grant writing at Penn State to be able to identify grant opportunities and assist in grant writing. The Community Coalition will get involved with ai new organization "Lehigh Valley Life Saving Association" in its efforts to coordinate training andplacement ofj ifeguards Mr. Zovko mentioned again the upcoming 150h anniyersaryo ofStuke'sh hospital taking care ofits first patient. NEW BUSINESS  Application for Waiver requested. by Broadway Apartment Development  Bhll Properties, LLC regarding 950/960  88  e  Mr. Zehner (Zoning Officer)further explainedthe application for the waiver to reduce the two- step application process to a one-step process. The Planning Commission was also in favor of granting the waiver. Thefinal plan approval by Councl is scheduled for the 8/7/2023 Council  Meeting.
