MINUTES BOROUGH COUNCIL June 19, 2024 7P.M. The Council Meeting was held in person at Borough Hall. Council members present were Mr. Trotter, Mr. McCandless, Mr. Blatt, Mr. Trabel, Amy Burkhart (Borough Manager), and guests Council President McCandless asked everyone to stand for a1 moment ofs silence for Max Johnson. were also in attendance. Borough Manager Burkhart mentioned that Jill Smith made some specific comments stating that we don't know where thej property lines fall, Ms. Smith fears that we: may encroach on the neighbor's property. Also, the driveway should be 9 feet wide, and the: minimum width per Zoning is 12 feet wide. Dave Berger recommends that ifthis applicant wants to goi further, they should seek relief from Zoning for those setbacks and potentially have their property surveyed to ensurei iti is on their property. Ms. Burkhart explained that thisi is informational at this point. She explained that she would first go back to the applicant. OLD BUSINESS Park/Pool Updates - Council President McCandless explained that the pool has been doing well. There is much participation. The pool is busy again tonight. Hei mentioned that hel hopes more people will come out. Council President McCandless announced that thej pool will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 12 to 7P.M., wéather permitting. Borough Manager Burkhart explained that our website was updated. Council President McCandless explained that the park morning program has been running. He announced that on. Monday the 24th, the evening program will begin from 6 to 9j p.m. He also explained that it was délayed a wèek due to3 staffing. Çouncil President McCandless announced that we will put back some ofthe baskets. Thére will be two half- courts sO1 the children can play basketball again. As the season progresses, we will Security Updates - Borough Manager Burkhart announced that we arei moving forward with Omega Security. She explained that shei is working through the contract. They are starting on Monday and will: run through July for the park program, specifically for the evening hours ofM-F,5:30 to, 9:30 P.M. There will be one: security person dedicated to the park. We are. looking for qualified applicants with work experience in that Fee Schedule and Brush Truck updates - Borough Manager Burkhart explained that this isj just an update. The Fee Schedule and the resolution for the Brush Truck will be on the council's next agenda.
