BOROUGH OF FRANKLIN PARK WEDNESDAY,APRIL 17, 2024 BOROUGH COUNCIL PRE/POST MEETING MINUTES REPORTS FROM COUNCIL MEMBERS & MAYOR Mr. Malkin, Mr. Phillips and Mr. Junker had a productive meeting to investigate the preservation of the trees in the tree canopy ordinance, and they are hoping to provide a draft at the May work session. The draft has been forwarded to the Borough Engineer to see if they have the required resources available to determine ifa developer is complying with the Mr. Schwartzmier discussed the scheduled stormwater work on Cole Road and noted that there has been some minor soil movement in other areas on Cole Road. He will discuss There was discussion regarding the recent heavy rains. We had a lot of debris washing out into the roads and over the catch basins. There was some flooding on Ingomar Heights Road in front oft the middle school, and the fire company responded to a call to pump out water at a residence. There were ar number of calls from residents complaining about water running off neighbors' properties, but the Borough cannot address those issues. Linbrook Park was Mr. Palled attended the ALOM Conference with other Council members and Mr. Ebner, and he! has asked ALOM to provide the PowerPoint decks from some oft the sessions. He visited the Dimond Lane stormwater swale during the recent storm, and it was working as intended. Mr. Ebner noted that the portion of the swale that had been completed had functioned properly, but there is still an unfinished portion that will need to be completed. The partt that was not finished had washed out the gravel on the private road. Mr. Palled also discussed an issue with excessive running water off Mystic Valley Drive in the Spring Ridge Plan. He suspects that something is broken in that area.
