BOROUGH OF FOUNTAIN HILL COUNCIL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES June 3, 2019 7P.M. Council members present were: Ms. Jordan, Mr. Ferencin, Mr. Blatt, Mr. Trotter, Mr. Atkinson, Mr. Trabel, and Ms. Halleman. Also, in attendance were Anthony Branco (Executive Administrator), Cordula Voges (Finance Officer), Ed Bachert (Police Chief),Jason Quarry(Public Works), Pete Lehr (Solicitor), a member of the Press and guests. MAYOR'S REPORT Mayor Gifford read the Police Report for May 2019. She reminded of the Playground Program and Swimming Pool opening on June 10, 2019. Inl light ofthel National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System and the MS4 Permit Program that the Borough has to adhere to, Mayor Gifford encouraged Borough residents to plant trees on their properties as a means of public involvement in the MS4 classified control measures and report it to the Borough to track it. EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATORSREPORT Mr. Branco introduced the new St. Luke's VP Facilities, Patricio Manzanares, to Council. Mr. Branco informed that UGI will be replacing some major gas lines and lateral connections in the Borough. Thel locations and dates will be announced on the Borough's website to inform about related road closings. The scope of the UGI project includes 111 cuts and 11 trenches. Inc conjunction with the UGI project, UGI will put some funds in escrow to be used for next year's Wiley Street paving project. NEW BUSINESS - none. RESOLUTIONS RESOLUTION NO. 2019-28 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF FOUNTAIN HILL, LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF SEASONAL STAFF FOR SUMMER POOL CASHIERS, AND PLAYGROUND WHEREAS, Each year the Borough is in need of Part-Time Staff to assist with the Playground WHEREAS, Borough Council has received the hiring recommendations from the Playground Supervisor and Executive Administrator ofindividuals to fill the various staff positions; NOW,THEREFORE, BEI ITI RESOLVED that thel Borough Council ofthel Borough nofFountain Hill does hereby approve the appointment of the following staff for the Summer Playground OPERATIONS. COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S REPORT Council President Atkinson reminded of Community Day on July 20th, 2019 with ai rain date on July 27th, 2019 Food Trucks will provide a variety of food options. Community Yard Sale on Stanley Avenue in front oft the Park. The exact date/time will be advertised on facebook. SOLICITOR'S REPORT Mr. Lehri is drafting an ordinance for the establishment ofa Stormwater Authority to collect fees to meet EPA's MS4 rules, enforced by the DEP, to reduce stormwater pollution.
