DRAFT MINUTES Minutes of March 20, 2019 Council Meeting - DRAFT (Please submit revisions to Ms. Minutes of April 1, 2019 Council Meeting - DRAFT (Please submit revisions to Ms. Voges in writing Voges in writing PRESENTATIONIS) Vanessa Rex- - YMCA - Pool and playground presentation Ms. Vanessa Rex from the YMCA made a presentation of the upcoming of the upcoming Pool program starting on June 10, 2019 until August 11, 2019 with the option to mutually negotiate providing additional operating days beyond the established 2019 summer season. For all contracted services under the agreement, the Borough will pay the YMCA a management fee of $35,569 and then payments of$5,000 starting on August 1,2019 for each week the Pool remains open for the remainder of the 2019 summer. In addition to seven (7) in-service/raining days, expenses will only be charged for those days that Pool is open and accounted for by October 1, 2019. Ms. Rex stressed that per YMCA policy one (1) counselor is assigned for every twelve (12) participants in the program and the Budget Projection of approximately $9 ki is based on twenty-four (24) children participating in the program. Mr. Blatt and the Mayor noted that the structured YMCA program would be very different from past years' Playground Programs especially ini regard to the restriction to afternoon hours onlyand not extending to activities offered for the evening hours from 6 to 9 pm. Mr. Trabel and Ms. Halleman are not in favor ofa Playground Program. Council decided to further discuss the scope of the Playground Program on the Committee level before signing a contract with the YMCA. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR - Discussion on Agenda Items none.
