Hurricane Francine is likely to impact much of the State of Mississippi, including Jackson, carrying the risk of excessive rainfall, flash flooding, high and gusty winds of up to 60 miles per WHEREAS, this storm system has high potential to cause damage to homes, businesses, public property, and to threaten the safety of the citizens and property ofthe City of Jackson, Mississippi; and WHEREAS, in consideration of the health, safety, and welfare of the City's residents and the protection of their property within the affected areas, and in the public interest, all efforts should be taken which is presently located: in the western GulfofMexico offshore ofr northeastern Mexico; and ort tonight: and hour, spin-up tornadoes, and power outages; and to protect people and property.
