Approval of the Annual Property Tax Settlement for Fiscal year 2024 and Order of Collection to the Tax 4. Approval of Budget Amendment Ordinance 2024-016 to amend the General Fund (10). 5. Approval of Resolution 2024-09 to dispose ofs surplus vehicles-Police Department. Collector fort the current fiscal year. Vice Mayor Ervin made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda. New Business (48:10) The Town Council recommended that Town Staff continue working toward or completing the 2024 priorities and 2. Community Partners Grant Program & Consideration of Budget Amendment Ordinance #2024-017 Supporting the Asheville Buncombe Community Land Trust - Shannon Tuch, Town Manager Council Member Cohen moved to 1. Renew funding agreements with 2023 funding partners fort the same amounts granted previously, for a period of one year. 2. Designate $25K1 fora an Emergency Home Repair grant and identify existing emergency home repair programs in the area and returnt to council with more information. Vice Mayor Ervin seconded the motion, which passed unanimously, 6-0. revisiting priorities this winter for 2025. Council Member Cohen left the meeting at 6:50 pm. Council Member Edgerton made a motion to adjourn into closed session consistent with North Carolina General Statute $143-318.11 (a)(3):To consult with an attorney employed or retained by the public bodyi in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege between the attorney and the public body, which privilege is hereby acknowledged. Council Member Thornton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously, 5-0. F. Executive Session The Town Council may adjourn to private chambers to discuss legal, personnel, contractual or similar matters protected by the NCGSS 5143-318.11(a) including subsections: (3)t to consult with an attorney employed or retained byt the public body in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege between the attorney and the public body, which privilege is hereby acknowledged. G. Adjournment- Vice Mayor Ervin made ar motion to adjourn the meeting. Council Member Thornton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously, 5-0.
