EXISTING SIGNREGULATIONS AND POLICY- - WORKSHOP Following discussion and without formal motion, the Committee (1) received and ordered filed on the existing sign regulations within Chapter 19.620 of the Riverside Municipal Code and (2) directed staff to refresh the current sign standards, explore design guidelines, create a toolkit for new sign codes, examine sign regulations of peer cities, differentiate from window signs and window wraps particularly in store fronts andi include review of Code Enforcement processes related to sign codesi including citation timing for notice of violation to business property owners or tenants. DISCUSSION CALENDAR REVIEW AGRICULTURAL PRESERVE DIMINISHMENT NO. 3 AND CANCELLATION OF Following discussion, it was moved by Vice Chair Falcone and seconded by Member Cervantes, to receive and ordered filed the report on Agricultural Preserve Diminishment and cancellation of a Williamson Act Land Conservation Contract; and (2) recommend that the City Council adopt resolutions to diminish the Agriculture Preserve No. 3 and cancel a Williamson Act Land Conservation Contract for Map No. 52. The motion carried WILLIAMSON ACT LAND CONSERVATION CONTRACT FOR MAP NO.52 unanimously. ITEMS FOR FUTURE COMMITTEE CONSIDERATION Chair Milrequestedareport on Title 19 Good Neighbor Policy to the Land Use Committee meeting in November. Vice Chair Falcone requested (1) examination of Code Enforcement practices to implement stricter regulations on items such as defensible space and sign code to a future Land Use Committee meeting; and (2) a review of the sound/noise ordinance to come to the Land Use Committee meeting in December. Member Cervantes requested discussion on abatement issues enforcement on Lizard Head Hill in University Neighborhood Community to the Land Use Committee meeting in November.
