Mr. Cox expressed his disappointment about a meeting with Pearson's Appraisal Mr. Herring thanked emergency service responders and the crews who kept roads clear Mr. Martin said a memorandum of agreement is being drafted for the pavilion project on the back lawn of the County Administration Building. Also, a joint meeting with the School this weekend for their service. Board to discuss the budget will bel held on' Tuesday, January 24, 2017. AID TO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION BE ITI RESOLVED by the Greene County Board of Supervisors that the Transit Manager is authorized, for and on behalf of the Greene Co. Transit, Inc., hereafter referred to as, the PUBLIC BODY, to execute and file an application to the Department of] Rail and Public Transportation, Commonwealth of Virginia, hereafter referred to as, the DEPARTMENT, for a grant of financial assistance in the amount of $473,826 to defray the costs borne by the PUBLIC BODY for public transportation purposes and to accept from the DEPARTMENT grants in such amounts as may be awarded, and to authorize Transit Manager to furnish to the DEPARTMENT such documents and other information as may be required for processing the grant request. The Greene County Board of Supervisors certifies that the funds shall be used in accordance with the requirements of Section 58.1-638.A.4 oft the CodeofVirginia that the PUBLIC BODY will provide subsequent matching state-aid funds, which will be used as required in such Act, that the records of receipts ofe expenditures of funds granted the PUBLIC BODY may be subject to audit by the DEPARTMENT and by the State Auditor of] Public Accounts, and that funds granted to the PUBLIC BODY for defraying the expenses oft the PUBLIC BODY shall be used only for such purposes as authorized in the Code ofVirginia. A COPYTESTE: John Barkley, Clerk Greene County Board of Supervisors Board of Supervisors January 10, 2017 Attachment "B" County Administrator's Report Board of Supervisors Meeting January 10, 2017 Board of Supervisors Organizational Meeting: The 2017 Annual Organizational Meeting of the Board of Supervisors has been deferred from January 10, 2017 to the January 24, Strategic Planning Retreat = Our strategic planning facilitator has now completed a series of surveys and interviews with Board members to assess individual priorities and challenges, with the results designed to serve as a foundation for the Board's discussions at the strategic planning retreat, scheduled for. January 27-28, 2017 ini the Board meeting White Run Reservoir Impoundment Project - Staff continues to review the County's water and sewer utility rate structure with a goal of developing and recommending a schedule of EDU and facility fee rate structure adjustments designed to support planning, design and construction phases of the project. The Board will then continue its series of public information sessions to present the County's plans and also will discuss the project Budget/Finance - Budget guidance was delivered to all agencies in December and the Administration office has now received budget requests for FY 2018. Staff will then be preparing the draft FY 2018 Budget to be presented to the Board for review and consideration for approval. A more detailed schedule for the Board's budget review process will be advertised later in January. The FY 2016 comprehensive financial report has also been completed and will be presented at the January 24, 2017 Board of Supervisors meeting. We are also reviewing the County reserve policy and will be County Re-assessments - Notices were mailed and review meetings with the County assessor were conducted in December and have now been completed. Formal appeals 2017 Board meeting. room. during the FY 2018 budget development process. discussing the matter at the January 24, 2017 Board meeting. will be scheduled in March/April 2017. County Administrator's Report, January 10, 2017 Live Streaming The County's live streaming service has performed as expected in December, with no major problems to report. The December 13, 2016 Board meeting, Ruckersville Commercial Corridor - Blight: Staff is in the process of researching legislative and policy options regarding blight and the appearance of many commercial structures in Ruckersville retail corridor, with an overall objective of raising the standard of appearance along the corridor while not becoming overly burdensome to businesses. The idea is to develop a check list of expectations that would reduce the negative appearance of the corridor and attract more quality businesses tot the area. the first to be live streamed, received over 300 views.
