There were no comments heard from the citizens present. Following the Public Hearing and discussion, ai motion was madel by Mr. Lamb, seconded by Mr. Parker, to recommend adoption of the Five Year Plan. Motion carried 6t to 0. Thel Public Hearing regarding Ordinance Amendment tot the CNI District allowing for the ability! to allow camping by Special Exception was opened. Discussion was held regardingi rules such as at time for lights out" and' "quiet time" for the protection oft ther neighbors. The design layout was also discussed. Chairman. Robertson requested the definition of the CNJ District. Att thist time, Mr. Don Arrington spoke against allowing camping in the. Jackson River Sports Complex. He stated that he was for the rezoning oft the Sports Complex but was totally against the camping. He expressed concerns regarding the noise he experienced from concerts at the Complex. There were no additional comments from the citizens present. Upon ai motion by Mr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Morgan, the Planning Commission voted to recommend the Amendment to the CNJ District allowing for the ability 1o allow camping by Special Exception. Thel Public Hearing regarding the rezoning request oft the City of Covington, for property known ast the Jackson River Sports Complex, 470 W. Edgemont Drive, be rezoned from R-2,C-2 and M-2 to CN. Eric Tyree, Director of] Development Service and Zoning Administrator, explained that thej purpose of the rezoning ist t0 equalize all the. zoring for the Sports Complex. Allan Dressler, Director of Parks and' Public Works, stated thatt the City needs to protect the investment oft the Sports Complex. He also explained fulue plans and goals fort the Complex. Following discussion, ai motion was made by Mr, Scruggs, seconded by Mr. Morgan, to recommend the rezoning oft the. Jackson River Sports Complex from R-2, C-2 and M-2t to CN.
