Sibold, Jr. with all members present as follows: Mayor Sibold, Vice Mayor David S. Crosier, Councilman C.J.I Entsminger,Jr., Councilman Raymond C. Hunter and Councilman S. Allan' Tucker. The purpose oft the meeting was tol hold a work session regarding the 2019/2020 FY budget. Interim City Manager Goodman stated thatt this work session would deal with General Fund Expenditure Requests by Departments. Meetings had been held with all department heads to David Bryant, Director ofl Finance and HR, presented information" whichi reflected the original budget by department for 2018/2019, requests for 2019/2020 andt the difference. The following areas of the City budget were presented for discussion:. Administration; Judicial; Public Safety; Public Works; Health and' Welfare which included) RADAR and CSA services; Parks and Recreation and Community Development. Mr. Bryant noted thatt thisi is a very tight budget. Mr. Goodman: noted the $444,000 that willl be needed to replace the Rayon Bridge. He stated that the funds for thiss should bei in a designated fund that couldi not be used for anything At6 6:00p.m., the budget request for the Covington City Schools was presented by thel Financial Officer, Rebecca Irvine. Melinda Snead-Johnson, Superintendent, and) Eddie Clemons, Chairman of the Covington School Board, were also present. The proposed FY2019/2020 School Budget wasi int the amount of$12,311,072 whichi is a 6.29% increase over. FY 2018/2019.
